Very nice Clay. Awesome getting a ps5 from the wife. GOW Ragnarok was superb. Recently completed it myself. Totally lived up. King of Fighters 15 really was a step up from 14. I've enjoyed that one quite a bit. I still need to put more time into it but Shadow Dancer on the sms is a pretty cool game. More faithful to the arcade original but I still prefer the Megadrive port. All the best for 2023 mate 🙂👍
I was spoiled (and shocked) to get the PS5. I finished off the Ni No Kuni Remaster this eve, so will be jumping in to GoW now. Just picked up the Demon’s Souls remake too! I got quite in to Shadow Dancer on the SMS. Never played too much of the MegaDrive version but did enjoy it. Plus, I Have the MD version on both my PS3 and PS4 Sega MD collections. Really enjoyed Alan Wake when I played it several years ago and it still looked really nice so I imagine the remaster is even nicer on the eyes. Your wife went above and beyond there with the PS5, a keeper and no mistake, couldn't have said it any better!
Victorious Boxing is a title (like soooo many), I'm looking forward to pumping more time in to. It's really smooth and quick arcade fun. Alan Wake is referenced in the developers' follow-up game Control, which is great also. Yes she did mate, it was a genuine surprise. I remember seeing it in our local video game shop back in the day and dismissing it for another title (time soldiers perhaps). I had shadow dancer on the megadrive growing up but think the sms version is completely different. Sounds like you’re getting into it 👍. Great stuff! 👍😊🕹️

I used to love ace of aces, great fun. Shadow dancer is on my neeeeeeeed list. Top spin tennis is a classic. Given up with the charity shops, nothing but fifa these days. Huge fan of Alan wake, your in for a treat. Nice Christmas gifts, happy new year mate.

I recommend Shadow Dancer mate, a different game to the MegaDrive and arcade versions though. Yeah, love Top Spin. The PS3 version still gets played a fair bit today. I always liked the look of the revamped Namco games. I don't know if I own any though likely do on want format at least. I like how they take the core gameplay and just give it a fresh spin. I keep meaning to pick up Alan Wake. I remember it getting a bit of a price cut though I'm sure its back up to retail now lol. I was THAT close to getting a PS5 recently, but I've decided to hold back until they bring out a revised model. I hear that come September time they'll be releasing a revised unit,. hopefully it will be a bit on the smaller side. I'm gonna keep the money I have for it to one side for when it drops. I'm looking forward to playing GOW;R at some point. For me GOW 2018 was one of the highlights of the PS4 era, Anyways sorry this is late, but I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year.
Alan Wake has always been on my radar, just glad that Sony has now got access to it. I've heard numerous sources saying a revised model is out this year, which makes sense. Some say it might be the PS5 Pro... I hope that's not becoming the standard. I would imagine the updated model would be smaller Dylan, can't be any bloomin bigger! Haha. loved Shadow dancer on the megadrive, most people prefer revenge of Shinobi, but I have more nostalgia for Shadow Dancer ! Virtua Tennis is awesome, I didnt realise how addictive arcade tennis games are until I played that on the Naomi/dreamcast. Not being a MegaDrive owner, I never really played much of the Shinobi games, only Shinobi on the SMS. I have the MD Shinobi 3DS conversion now though, which I have pumped some time in to and really enjoy it. need to go back and beat that one mind. I also have the MD collection on both the PS3 and PS4, so can check out the others easily enough. What a game Virtua Tennis is. The Top Spin series is really good, especially on the PS3 (I think it's TS 3 and 4). I've always liked the KoF series, definitely gave Street Fighter a run for its money. I know mate, I have been a spoilt boy. Need to pull something special out of the bag for wifey this year now though. 🤔 All the best Nick!

I remember 4 Wheel Thunder being really good but not as good as Hydro Thunder. You're right about tennis games, Super & Virtua Tennis are the best out there Love the look of the 3DS game, added that to the list, hadn't seen it before KOF are awesome games, I remember the first one in '94 well, it's still my favourite 🤣 I've got XV but not tried it yet. Cheers Stu. I have Hydro Thunder on the Dreamcast and really enjoy it. I'm very happy with my SMS collection, just a few rare/ pricey ones I'm after now (Power Strike 2 for example).
