The idea for the video was discarded because the band didn't want to attract attention with the negative press.

it is about one of our greatest and most discussed economy-problems way down in germany: The coal economy. I think it is critical, like that the workers don't see the light (of the sun/sonne in german) and work for a loan of almost nothing. The snow symbolizes the cominc catastrophe, for the mining process is really bad for nature and the environment, like a warning what the climate change could bring. Also the sun is represented here as a woman (actually, the gender of the noun "SUN" in german is also female), that is all above these working mans (maybe this could be a reference to our actual "bundeskanzlerin" who also doesn't care about the problems of the coal mining). I see the dwarves (she isn't a giant, they went to great lengths to make themselves small LOL), as a warning that, if we are not careful, the Sun will punish us.
