In my opinion the fan culture here in europe is coming feom the difference how our nations grew compared to yours. In the US all people came from different nations and did not build such an identification level with their sports clubs. Look at like you americans call it soccer teams how old these clubs are. We have rivalries over here between clubs from small neighboring villages and we learn as kids this rivalry. The only events in the US that are close to EU Sports is college level and still nit as crazy.
