    In some ways, I think it’s a shame Leno never did a political show like Bill Maher does. You can tell he’s extremely well informed, and is very intelligent overall. I’d love to see this side of him more often.

    Simpler times. I would watch Bill nearly every weeknight at midnight when I was a teenager. Always entertaining and (somewhat) better for my mind.

    Funny to hear Laura Ingraham discount the fact that it was a victim culture then

    I love how they purposely missed the point on how you can be dangerous one way which is legal but not another

    I like the way Laura spins a Police Chief quote saying ' It's taken 3 interviews to get the information we've gathered sofar' , as a lawyer. I don't know a lot about the specific case, but I assume close contacts are interviewed with fairly general questions while early into an investigation, which gets checked / corroborated, before a possible follow-on questioning or 2, as details emerge.

    Watching these old shows reminded me how "Woke" Bill Maher used to be. More libertarian than conservative. More progressive than "recessive". Now he's talking to Megan Kelly, Steve Bannon and Ben Shapiro.... like wtf happenend?

    Fishing not dangerous. Drunk fishing is.
    Macy and Mathis should have been on a different episode, one where they got to speak more.

    Bill Maher's last comparason between smoking crack and Nascar is completely illogical and blows my mind. What the hell is he talking about?? Bill is just trying to soapboxing with no reasonable analogy.

    • @roccoramos1358
      @roccoramos1358 10 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No he makes a point actually. Drug policies of this country have failed, the 40 year war on drugs have been a waste. Due to the billions of dollars wasted, time, and amount of people imprisoned based off the laws. It has failed, we should make all drugs legal and take Portugal's model. Also cigarettes are worse than crack, so why should that be legal and crack and marijuana not. It doesn't stop people from using or selling illegal substances. But if fact creates a market for people to sell since it is illegal in the first place. There is revue that could be made through taxation on State and federal levels. It also just fills our prisons more and ruin lives of people who only tried to make money in a area of poverty. So where is the consensus of what should and shouldn't be legal, that right there is a problem with congress and our imprisonment system. But that's okay Progress is slow and it takes time.

    • @tbizone2002
      @tbizone2002 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      granted. But what the HELL does that have to do with the comparison between drugs and Nascar??

    • @roccoramos1358
      @roccoramos1358 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The fact that someone should be allowed to do dangerous things. Nascar is dangerous, but its in a track. Its regulated so its safe, as street racing is illegal. Its illegal because your putting others lives at risk. So why can't crack be regulated for people to do in the privacy in there own home. There not hurting anyone except themselves. But its no much a comparison of Nascar and Crack. As in a status on both ends, like in this corner we have crack weighing in at! etc... Its the principals and the basis they represent, as a system and the implications of capitalism.
