  • Join me in this casual and not overly technical review as I explore a new trail camera, the Wosports G600, a budget camera that can be ordered through Amazon for just under $50 and comes shipped with a 32GB SD card so you just need to add 8 AA batteries to get started.
I take you through unboxing, set up, and to various sites that I have chosen for this camera. Several pages from the camera manual are included for reference and can be paused for further reading.
Lots of daytime and nighttime video clips and sample photos are provided so you can get an idea of the quality of close, midrange and distance results. And yes, the camera does get some distance and with a wide angle lens you can monitor activity in a larger area. I really enjoy this camera for mid range to slightly closer range video for wildlife observation and the best clarity. Clips with bright sun and fog are included and also a site with a tree in the foreground and what those results are.
In today’s video: Coyote, Raccoons, Gray Fox, Striped Skunk, Northern Crested Caracaras, Turkey Vultures, Black Vultures, White-tailed Deer, Opossum, Northern Cardinals, People and our Blue Heeler Dog~ Daisy.
Video Date: March & April 2022
**Another reviewer discovered that this camera has a playback feature so you can view your clips right on the viewing screen without removing the SD Card. This feature is not in the owner’s manual. Turn on the AIM setting function, click OK, preset the UP ARROW to scroll through the clips. Great indepth review Char. The strap had to be ran though a certain way for it to sinch down. However I like the stand that you use, is it homemade or was it purchased. Thanks for sharing the playback feature and Link, I would have been okay if not. Have a BLESSED day and keep SHARING your PASSION

Thanks so much! That strap! Haha! That camera stand is from Cabelas I believe it is the Moultrie one. Stealthcam digital camera camstick on Amazon is the other one I have. Mine have rusted bc I don’t keep up with oiling them. But I really should bc they aren’t cheap. $22-35 approx. Observing the wildlife here has definitely become a passion shank you for those kind words. You too! Take care, Char😊

Good review Char, I'll have to keep this camera in mind next time I go to purchase another, 50 seems like a reasonable price and it does take pretty good video. 👍

Greetings Char... I must say, that was an impressive video review of this camera. You did a very good job of covering all aspects of the cameras, the setup and covering key features and functions of the camera.
No video is completely without Miss Daisy making her appearance, that little doll Summer and my dear buddy Char all showing up on camera.
Aside from you guys, the best clips were at the end of the beautiful male Stripped Skunk and that gorgeous Gray Fox Dog. The day photos of the Vultures and Crested Caracara... the one photo of the Vulture taking off with his wing pointing forward was an amazing action photo.
I give your review 5 out of 5 stars buddy !!!

Thanks George! I am amazed I had 3 Northern Crested Caracaras out there. That was a first. On the ground, one the post and one above in the tree there was a smaller one. Makes me wonder if we have a young one since I am seeing a new Red-tailed Hawk now. It was a fun video to make and it helped me to understand the camera’s range and how the IR LEDs work and I think I’ve got a great site now for it’s use for awhile. It was about what I’ve done with every new camera I’ve got until I get to know it and then the real fun begins! Have a great day and tty soon, Char

George I added a note and link to my description bc another reviewer found that the camera has a playback function that is not listed in the manual which is cool. Have a great day! 😊

@@trailcameratexaswildlife9526 If you’re see three Northern Crested Caracaras together, it’s the parents and one of their young. The young offspring is learning the tricks of the trade, hunting, scavenging, how to deal with competition at a carcass, dealing with foes, etc. I just love them… so Royal!
I’ll check out the link… I would assume the play-back function is similar to the other cameras the company produces?
You have a new Red-tailed Hawk ?!?! That’s awesome… and would even be more awesome if you catch videos of him hunting or at a carcass.
I want to get over to another one of your newer videos. Talk soon.

Hi George, that is great about the Caracaras! The smaller one was in the tree most of the time watching. The one on the fence pole was the biggest. I have never used the playback function on my other cams bc I just use an SD card reader and ok at clips on my phone.

Great review Char! I like how you chose a variety of placements and how you reviewed the options - very understandable! Where did you get the device to load photos / videos to the iPhone?

    • @trailcameratexaswildlife9526

Thanks Dave! The Device is called a Dongle that I use to transfer pics and videos directly to my iPhone camera roll is $29 and called the Apple Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader on Amazon. It is easy to use. Plug it in to your phone with the SD card and go to files on your phone and select it and select the pics and vids you want to save and then a menu comes up and save it to photos then wait and you can clear the SD card when you are done then hit Browse to eject the SD card safely from the Dongle then format it in your camera and you are good for the next round! Makes it easy. I bought two. You can also buy Dongles to connect to portable hard drives as well which is something I also do but easier to go from phone to computer to portable hard drive if needed. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, Char😊

How do you play back the videos? I have it set up, apparently recorded but cannot figure out how to run the videos and pictures.

Where are you putting the videos files? I use an SD card reader that plugs into my phone. I transfer the videos from my card to my phone then delete the files from the SD card and put it back into the trail camera and Format it in the camera then it is ready to record again. You could also have a spare card and put the new card into the camera and take the full card to be read by your computer and save the files there.

@@trailcameratexaswildlife9526is there an option to see how many videos are being recorded directly on the trail Camera? Can you play the videos on the screen of the trail camera? Or you have to take out the SD card every single time and check it out on another device?

    • @trailcameratexaswildlife9526
      @trailcameratexaswildlife9526  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@Booxer4 I had the go check for you. There is no count on the Home Screen. Also there is not an option to view clips on the camera itself. I do pop the SD card out and plug it into a card reader on my phone and either put the clips on my camera roll on my phone and reformat the card in the trail camera or I swap cards as I have several cards for each camera now (fastest way)but if not many clips I just put the SD card back in the camera. All of my Browning cameras have a counter on the Home Screen. It is a nice option to have.
