A really fun review! If I had ties to the area I'd absolutely get one. Without those ties it's still a good looking watch, but way more expensive than I'd pay for a quartz watch even with a cool dial and old school branding. For $100 you can get the Escapement Time pilot watch with an NH-35 and for $80 the Corgeut with the small seconds..

Half the price and stick it in TK Maxx. I've seen similar Victorinox models for less the a hundred in TK Maxx
Come on Dan, go take a look at your railway station - plenty of inspiration: the soldier course brickwork over the window arches can inspire the dial and the fancy brickwork on that sort of tower appendage can inform the woven strap design. No excuses on the inspiration front - lets see your first Leatherhead watch. And as to Camden, back in the New Romantic era we used to hit the Camden Palace - full of gender bending fun dressed people, banging music and an astonishing light system all under two huge bloated naked stuffed trapeze artists hanging from the ceiling. Now there's plenty of inspiration for your new BF at the Camden Watch Co.!

A nice looking daily, quartz movements most certainly have there place.... unfortunately nothing about this one grabbed me....I will of course visit there website to look further.... a side from the watch, the Leatherhead tour and inspiration was enjoyable....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Leatherhead has been through many trials and is typical of one way sys high streets and high rents. However, the old Swan Hotel and the brewery that used to be there could provide some horological inspiration. Or the Running Horse pub (mentioned in Chaucer)...possibly a medieval-esque time piece. Joking aside it is a shame what's happened to the town...
My town is thriving but designing a watch based on it would still always be a little bit of an ass-pull.
Haha, love the Leatherhead tour! Not too sure about a big watch like that for myself, but nice to see a brand actually attempt something somewhat original with some genuine inspiration, rather than some more "respected" microbrands slapping some sort of Royal Navy vessel from the Boar War or something on the caseback and then claiming their watch was inspired by the tarpaulin on board or something. Nice one, mate!

Nice review👍, of the watch not Leatherhead 😂. I like the watch, but if I was being picky, I would say the hour hand is a fraction too long and the minute and second hands far too short.

Mate……..a Steeldive SD1940 type B for $90 can not be beat! 39mm, 12.4mm thick, all brushed stainless steel 316L case, solid endlink plus solid oyster bracelet, sapphire crystal w/ AR, NH35a with amazing everything lume! Plus 200m watch resistance……so far, nothing beat it in the world as we speak!

Camden was my old stomping ground back in the Punk days .Had one of the last surviving pie and mash shops in the area too... .does anyone know if it's it still there ?
Anybody who buys anything from Hugo Boss should research the company’s history.
The watches aren't great but as far as the history goes, there are a lot of companies involved, including Krups, Siemens, Mercedes, Laco who made pilot watches for the Luftwaffe, then cross the ocean and Seiko made watches for pilots and the army during the same war, look a bit deeper and you'll find some British companies with a less than innocent history, plus some Swiss watch makers made watches for the German military too. I think the time comes when we should stop looking to the past and move on. WWII started 82 years ago. We should also remember that it was mostly American, and some British investment that ultimately funded the German war machine, before Hitler came to power the Germans were suffering from hyperinflation and literally didn't have an arse in their trousers before getting the finance from their ultimate enemies. Nobody is innocent!
True, didn’t most crappy stuff work out for the better? That is certainly something we can do right now. Work things out for the better. Win a watch maybe! So what if you don’t wear quartz watches. Try it and be grateful of what now has to offer. Now is the time!!

Watches for the Luftwaffe and Cars for the German Army are not the same as Designing Nazi Uniforms.But that’s just my opinion.
@@echochambers8418 Hi my friend. I am German myself so maybe I can make a comment on this? I understand what you say, but I have to say many of our big companies like Siemens, Mercedes and Bayer did a lot worse things than making uniforms. It's not something we are proud of, however these companies have accepted the responsibility of what they did in those times, 80 years ago. We shouldn't forget but these companies are not the same as they were in the 1930's. I will say that Hugo Boss watches are not very good,,they make typical fashion watches and serious watch buyers would not buy them, they are only fashion accessories and not worth the price they sell for. So my friend,,forget the past, it's 2021 and just enjoy Dan's great watch channel which I have just subscribed to!!🙂

Literally every. single. watch. is made to be both a time telling tool AND to look good. Yes, we all dislike low value watches, doesn't matter if it's an Armani or a Rolex, paying tons for very little is never cool.
