TOUGH BUT REWARDING AFTERNOON ON MY LOCAL RIVER THE WITHAM FISHING THE FLAT FLOAT

This really was a tough, but rewarding afternoon on my local river the Witham, fishing the flat float.
99% of the river is rarely fished anymore, so chances are you`ll have to clear a peg for yourself to be able to fish it.So, this is what I did and chose a spot that probably hasn`t been fished in years.
I couldn`t help but think back to all the matches that used to be held on this stretch of the Witham which runs through Lincoln when I was growing up, 100+ peg matches in many cases,so I find it quite sad to see the river banks in the state they`re in now. Anyway after clearing a spot, I really enjoyed working out how to catch a few fish,so i hope you enjoy the video as much as i did making it for you.

Had a bonus 5lb bream from that section last year - had a second rod ledgering a cube of meat - there is a decent shoal of big bream in the upper - trouble is finding them
