I love how NME accused him of being racist the first time because of his lyric 'burn down the disco' in Panic. Their thought behind this being: since everyone who visit a disco is black, that means he wishes to burn loads of black people. is borderline racist itself. idiocy.
Morrissey found a true friend here…one caveat, however, and that is, how does Morrissey justify killing plants? They are alive, and have consciousness as well. This is my only bone to pick, with his stance. Now, if he is taking issue with the corporate factory farms, I am with him 100% and support the small, humane, organic local farms for the raising of animals and plants. I needed to get that off my chest for 39 years. My FAVORITE band. Rest in peace to the lovely, gifted Andy Rourke. And my sincerest wishes that Johnny Marr get back in touch with his working class roots, do some actual research and mend fences with Morrissey.
Holy shit! I've been studying famous people with a pattern of "lisps" in their early to adult lives. Most shake them off around puberty,m but some show signs they had one but never fully beat it. Morrissey definitely has a lisp, but learned to control it after puberty. Most of these people are highly intelligent, but some, after losing their lisp, will begin to show it again if traumatic/stressful periods arrive. So, in the long run, having a lisp is brutal as a young child, but when the mouth fully develops it tends to go away, and what is left is a highly intellectual, and most important, empathetic human being. This is the crux of those who have or have lisps: they are the most aware, most intelligent and most empathetic to the underdog - this explains Morrissey's "unavailability" with many others, but also his immense success.
asdiolazo: Truly he is! He should have been titled "SIR MORRISSEY" by the Monarchy. Too bad he wasn't. I think the chances of 1, The Royals offering Morrissey any honour at all, or 2, Morrissey accepting any such offer are completely desolate. This is the genius who for his entire career has panned the monarchy, and has the lyrics 'I said Charles, don't you ever crave, to appear on the front of the Daily Mail, dressed in your Mother's bridal veil' and all of TQID to his name.
The 80's. Loads of aerosole hairspray. There was a very popular girl in my school who had them just as voluminous, only hers went straight up like a wall . . .
Oasis has been relatively* consistent. I don't think they'll ever touch the first few albums, but they've put out a bunch of good songs in the past decade, though I wouldn't say it's enough to make me buy their album (for example, Dig Out Your Soul) before others. However, I'm not too keen on Radiohead to be honest. I think they were best in the 90s for sure, and I even liked them up until Hail to the Thief, but again, I'm more inclined to listen to a few songs rather than replay the records.
i know everyone loves morrissey... but he is extremely arrogant. and i know some people will say "but he said it sounded arrogant" that doesn't matter, just because he says it sounds arrogant it doesn't matter, he still said it.
that lady has a wild hair....i think england is the blame for the loss of our ozone layer due to so much aerosole hairspray being used on their hair !! ...lol
@spazabarri That was a response to 'National front disco', and draping himself in the Union Flag. It was a misguided attack, but you are essentially wrong. Gash x
....all i am is about his musical geniusity. if elton john was, i mean he could too (just a wishful thinking my friends!) i do know about that and to add sort of his 'againstness' in the monarchy - the music 'Margaret in Guilotine' sez it so! LONG LIVE MORRISSEY!
(continued...) But I'm a huge Smiths fan. And I don't really feel shame in saying "I like a few songs but that doesn't mean I love the band"... like with Morrissey's solo work, I own the first two, and I have no interest in ever purchasing any other Morrissey album. I think some music fans are too thick-headed, going around praising artists who's entire body of work they judge by a handful of good songs, ya know? It's like passionate music fans don't understand that it's okay to have that stance
@edwardskim0111 I'll make sure to note this down. Ok let me get this straight, bottom jaw protruding ahead of upper isnt an underbite. it's testosterone. you learn something new every day.
There is an over-abundance of sycophantism on the tube. Morrissey may well be a genius, but he would surely want us, his fans, to show a bit more critical nouse. His self-confidence is appealing because it is not British at all or, at least, not in my experience as an Aussie who inherited the English capacity for self-deprication. However, I am still convniced that he and his countrymen do not win well. In spite of this and because of this, here he is a pioneer, forging the language of success
He's so gorgeous and sweet
@Anderson Cooper Anti-immigrant does not equal racist.
Hes so young and shy. So cute. His voice is pure poetry.
I love that there are never any negative comments on Morrissey's videos...
he's the greatest
Everything about him is soooo beautiful.
I can't believe he was only 25 in this clip. He had already produced two albums with one of the best bands ever!
he has the most wonderful eyebrows
hes not arrogant, hes just better than most people
He was so handsome and pretty he still is and he has the most perfect gentleman's voice :)
Pure perfection, then and now
Morrissey's arrogance, as such, is perfectly justified by the light of his own brilliance which surely dazzles even him.
Have you looked at him lately? Morrissey remains awesomely attractive. A gorgeous, gorgeous man.
look at him. he's so lovely.
He has pretty lips
that studio aesthetic
i'm CRYING
Inspired by Chirico.
that makes it even better
love him
When he smirks 😍
Moz is such a darling, and he shows his lovely smile in this one.
The interviewer looks like she just woke up from a wee nap :)
he has the most wonderful eyebrows and lips
So Beautiful 🙏😭😍💕💕
Love Morrissey! 💚
I love how NME accused him of being racist the first time because of his lyric 'burn down the disco' in Panic.
Their thought behind this being: since everyone who visit a disco is black, that means he wishes to burn loads of black people.
is borderline racist itself. idiocy.
What say you now that he came out for
White nationalists etc?
Audio only comes out of the right channel, so if you're wearing headphones only in your left ear, that's why you hear nothing.
Billkwando thanks hahaha I was worried
Wow THANKS. I was definitely confused. 🤣
he has a deep intelligence that would drive most people crazy
His family was all Irish and lived close together, which served to soften his Manchester accent when growing up.
This is defintely his cutest video
It's that aura you get from being poor to rich overnight!

I call this one:
Where things didn't go south yet
NO ONE can hold a candle to you..
Swoooon
Oh yes :)
No wonder people started to have the incontrollable urge to hug him, he certainly looks like he could use one. Aww... :)
Good interview.
"I'm pushing 26". I'm certain he wishes he could only be 26 again.
I doubt it - he's become much happier with the passage of time
My left ear hurts
Aww, he looks like a baby, a mere child...
One of the greatest singers? maybe... Writers? HANDS DOWN!
I love you Morrissey
morrissey sits right next to God for me. i hope to kiss his hand before i die.
Im actually willing to admit Morrissey is better than me lol, hes got a good reason to be arrogant
hes so sweet *_*
haha this interview is soooooooo 80's i love it haha.
i see what you mean, but i don't think he's arrogant, it's just that he sounds intelligent and some people may be put off by that i suppose

What the fpsuck?
Morrissey was really attractive if you ask me.
BritishInvasion91 *is
Erano i miti anni '80. E questo video secondo me rispecchia alla perfezione quel periodo! :)
he was so attractive.
i never realized his severe underbite before. makes sense now.
No, we can call him whatever we want. It's not as if I'm afraid to call other men handsome, I'm gay and married to one.
morrissey be wearing rings
Also, I like the interviewer
Truly he is! He should have been titled "SIR MORRISSEY" by the Monarchy. Too bad he wasn't.
Long Live Moz!
So a cool guy
He looks so strange in a polo shirt...like he was forced to wear it. But this interview is awesome [Thank you!]
Muriel Gray. Very clever lady.
he's some handsome :)
Iconic
It's not arrogance, you ARE really clever.
That's why my son's second name is Morrissey!
asdiolazo: Truly he is! He should have been titled "SIR MORRISSEY" by the Monarchy. Too bad he wasn't.

My left ear feels left out
Do you think perhaps Morrissey is Oscar Wilde reincarnated? He's so wise and so elegant.
fair play to mozza he is dead right about the meat and cruelty issue it is never covered properly
gorgeous my tru luv
I agree, he goes completely against the monarch.
he's so cute wtf
The 80's. Loads of aerosole hairspray. There was a very popular girl in my school who had them just as voluminous, only hers went straight up like a wall . . .
They had funny hair in the eighties. And interesting things to say.
Sensitive fellow
I would.........nuff said!
:) and PW reminds of Morrissey for his arrogant/aware attitude. I love them both!
Muriel Gray, luv the Scottish accent! Steven in top form.
Classic hairstyles for the nineteen hateies..
@spazabarri Is that the only grounds behind the "morrissy is racist" accusations? I always wondered where that came from.
@BritishInvasion91 He was and he is.
@burn4you
clearly not. Slightly confusing considering they're a "music" magasine! :P
Oasis has been relatively* consistent. My right ear enjoyed it
@spazabarri didn't they listen to the rest of the lyric?......."because the music they constantly play, says nothing to me about my life."
@DaveySkate If he weren't so arrogant we probably wouldn't love him.
'was' attractive?? More like he still IS.
the girl just got back from Big Bird's hairdresser
i know everyone loves morrissey... but he is extremely arrogant. and i know some people will say "but he said it sounded arrogant" that doesn't matter, just because he says it sounds arrogant it doesn't matter, he still said it.
that lady has a wild hair....i think england is the blame for the loss of our ozone layer due to so much aerosole hairspray being used on their hair !! ...lol
When was this interview taken?
I have this with my left ear?
GO veg!! ♥ Go Moz!! ♥ jajaja
I really don't think he does, he hated his youth and The Smiths era was when he was at his most depressed.
@spazabarri
That was a response to 'National front disco', and draping himself in the Union Flag.
It was a misguided attack, but you are essentially wrong.
Gash
x
This is about a year or so before Marr left the band and Morrissey broke up The Smiths.
....all i am is about his musical geniusity. if elton john was, i mean he could too (just a wishful thinking my friends!) i do know about that and to add sort of his 'againstness' in the monarchy - the music 'Margaret in Guilotine' sez it so! LONG LIVE MORRISSEY!

hairdraisers on fire indeed
He looks like Cara Delevingne here

@noahisgod oww that was original, i feel the burn >.>
@Ulmeyda08
agreed.

@bababooey7576 it's not an underbite I'm pretty sure it'd be more obvious and severe if probably just has a lot of testosterone
