Can we stop the nonsense already, the redesign of the front and rear end is a total miss. Should have left that alone. One thing they should have done I mean how hard is it to hide the rear wiper under the rear brake light and make the area look really clean. No hybrid or Ev model yet? Also, would have liked to see electric tilting and telescopic steering wheel and a beefer arm rests for the rear caption chairs. Since there is no nightfall edition, I wonder how many customers will be doing a blackout of the chrome pieces. Can we add exhaust tips to the driver side please. I thought about trading in my 2021 sx-p nightfall for a 2023 model but after seeing what they did to the front and rear end, I think I will keep mine. Everything else that were redesigned were what customers were asking for, so I guess Kia listened. It will be interesting to see how the 2023 model sells compared to other years.
This 23 Telluride has an identity crisis. KIA: “Let’s slap some gimmicky rugged bumpers on this thing so it looks more off-road capable.” Also KIA: “Let’s go the total opposite direction on the interior and make it feel more refined and luxurious.” This is how I would expect the initial Telluride to look… Typical, KIA of old. A hot mess of design ideas with zero cohesion. They ruined this thing. Ruined it! I own a 2021 SX Prestige in Dark Moss. Needless to say I am 1 and done with this vehicle…
I like the car and just ordered an SXP X line. I do miss the black badging from the Nightfall-a lot of people are wrapping the badging. I happen to prefer the non-orange DRLs but that is controversial as you say. Another thing that a lot of people-including myself-don't like is the front fascia/bumper-kinda sticks out like a sore thumb like it doesnt belong in the overall design. I dont think you mentioned that. People are wrapping the front fascia too and the back. I feel like the front fascia/bumper was a design miss. I ended up building the car I wanted to try to minimize the visual impact of that front fascia/bumper by getting the X line in Everlasting Silver. For me that mostly solved the visual problem (I hope).

I just took home my 2022 SX Prestige Nightfall. I am so happy that I didn’t let the salesman convince to wait for the 2023. I am far more fond of the exterior look of the 22, by a long shot. I am shocked that they changed the interior fake wood pattern to have the vertical patterned wood (wtf?? That doesn’t even look natural). I also do not prefer that full panorama screen. I would’ve been happy if the current dash was digital but I think cars that keep those sections separate, that being the entertainment screen and the dash, look so much better. I also don’t care that the dash isn’t digital. I use the heads up display more anyways. The one super cool thing is that rear view mirror. Other than that, 2022 > 2023 IMO
I totally agree. I have the 2020 version and the amber lights still have people stopping in their tracks to stare, ask what type of vehicle it is, and most comment on that it looks like a range rover but with cooler lights in the front. Call me old school but I prefer the classier look with the chromed out looking front grille with the interesting mesh design then the "rugged" plasticy look it has now. I think the very first initial design was near perfect. They should have just updated the tire design to look more modern/classy while still looking a bit rugged, went with a digital gauge cluster, rear mirror digital is a nice touch, button free unlock, auto locks after a min, and obviously use the new logo. I think customers want their cars to look special and I think the original version, was a striking representation of what the concept was. Now, we have designers tinkering with things that were not broken and now the design language has skewed to a more less cohesive, budget look. Hey but what do I know. Maybe sales will continue to increase but if I were to put my money on it, KIA is tinkering with a proven, well thought out and tasteful design. The Hyundai Palisade on the other hand, went from a 7 to an 8 in design. I feel like the Telluride has from a 9 to a 7.5. Just an average looking SUV getting lost in a sea of other average looking mid sized SUVs.
Spot on. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was wrong with the 22 SXP. Add other packages, off-road etc, but why mess with the number one SUV in the class? Interesting stuff by Kia.

From what I’ve experienced and what customers have said, yes! Much better, more organic, etc. As always, take precaution when using it! It isn’t completely hands free, yet!
Did you really just say that an SUV that didn't exist prior to two years ago was "getting long in the tooth"? Really? On another note, It would be nice if Kia could ever actually deliver a Telluride without having to wait a year!
Been out for almost 4 years, and it was missing some features that the competition was getting including some other Kia models. It was due for an update and they delivered.
They apparently don't care that much about the features of their competition, given that they still don't offer the power third row that the Palisade (same company) has had for years!
@@jeremiah1694 Sure, it matters. At least to some, it does. It didn't seem to take up any space in the Palisade to bother anyone. Ultimately, when you're selling a Kia for over $50K (which is what their top trim levels sell for), people want every luxury feature that many of the competitors have.
I have a 22 SX Prestige. I love it. The 23 looks great. The only disappointment is dropping the amber DRL. It is a distinct feature, clearly saying Im a badass Telluride.

They have significantly improved the past 15-10 years or so. Traded in my 2012 Sonata last year with 180000 miles on it and it was still running fine. No engine problems. But it did have lots of petty electrical issues. Simple $20 dollar fixes here and there, but still a slight inconvenience.
I wish the reverse lights were still higher up. Putting them on the bumper just makes them less visible IMO. I also think not including the nightfall package was a mistake. That said, I just bought my EX prestige and I’m considering buying the SX prestige. Does the recall apply to the 2023 models with towing?
Do not like the new front end at ALL. I loved the original LED lights. Such a unique, quirky feature. Now, it just looks like every other rounded-off SUV.

I'm not a fan of the front bumper appearance. I like the 2022 front end much better. Very disappointed because I was going to buy the 2023 but now will wait to see what the 2024 will look like.
Is it correct that the Nappa leather seats seem different on the SX Prestige (not quilted) vs the SXP X line and X Pro (quilted)? If so why is that the case and is there a difference in comfort?
They have a tow package available for the SX Prestige. Gets you the tow hitch and leveling suspension. The Xline and Xpro models come standard with the leveling suspension, but the hitch is still an accessory/ option.
Call the various Kia dealerships in New Orleans. My understanding there is one that is #1 in the country, and you can order at MSRP. Will take time, but at least he's not raking you over the coals, nor are you overpaying. $10K-$25K would be worth the flight and drive home to anywhere in the country. It's only "market value" because marks are paying the markups. We have a Sorrento, love it. But when they said they wanted $15k over MSRP for a 2022 Telly, we literally LOL'd and walked away. Bought a (needed) pick-up at MSRP. At the end of the day, it's just a car - which I really don't want to be in, anyway.
I HATE IT! They should have left it alone. It’s too plain. I liked the way they had Telluride across the hood in the previous model. Looked more luxurious. 2023 is just ok. I hate the front. Maybe they should have just changed the inside with that beautiful screen and left well enough alone. I think I may want last years model

It all depends on your local dealership’s allocations! For high volume dealerships with high allocations, then it can take 60-90 days for North American built vehicles, and 4-6 months for Korean built vehicles.
We ordered a SX Prestige from a high volume dealer in the DFW area in January...and when I say 'order' it was them taking your order info waiting for allocations. We are still waiting. Changed it over to a 2023 last week. He is saying our order is pretty old now so a couple of months more. It's pretty crazy. I ordered an Audi SQ5 in March and got it early September. Still a wait but not nearly as long as the Telly. Little disappointed with the exterior update, especially the DRLs and wheels, but the interior and technology updates should make up for it. The other thing that sucks is the price went up about $2300 from 2022 to 2023 and interest rates for financing have exploded. Kia taking a long time is costing me more money.
New front end is hideous. My wife and I were excited to place a pre-order for a 2023 but ended up taking our deposit back when the updates were released. Kia ruined this vehicle. Should've followed Porsche a little more and made changes a little less. Now we are searching for a left over or barely used 2022 but aren't having luck.

My only complain and i thinks a lot of people too.....give us exhaust tips on both sides. They missed this one......this is the one most complained on the exterior.
It's because of the spare tire. I know, i know. Other cars have a spare and dual exhaust but in the Telly, there isn't room to mount it with the tire in place. I guess if I had to choose one, I'd choose the spare tire rather than a fix a flat can.
@@trletts i am very picky in my cars.....2023 Telluride is almost perfect and the single side exhaust outlet is holding me back. My VW Atlas have dual exhaust, but the interior instruments is dated.

Nice vehicle indeed. As for this dealership, you can tell from the comments in resonance to msrp questions, that they are among the dealerships who choose to follow the practice of adding thousands to vehicles under the ruse of “market value” and dealer mark ups. Thankfully there are actually some dealerships out there that do not do these practices and do actually sell at msrp. I know from first hand experience.
Everyone has the freedom to purchase from who they like. We’re confident in our pricing according to the market. MSRP, no matter what region of the USA you look at, is under market value for the vehicle. But anyone can due their due diligence and find the deal that THEY’RE happy with.
Market value is not a ruse. Dealerships are still not receiving much inventory and have many fixed costs that must be met to keep the lights on. I don’t mind mark ups at this point if you are voting off the lot. I don’t like when they try to charge a mark up if you want to order. If I order a vehicle and wait for it I am not taking anything from your lot.
We ordered a 2022 Kia Telluride that came standard with the Telluride driveline vibration. A year and a half later we still have the vibration, 4 wrecked rims and 20 damaged wheel bolts. Crap vehicle; crap service. I guess that's having it all Kia style !!!
That sounds like an anomaly. It’s one of the best vehicles on the road. Wrecked rims aren’t the manufactures fault. The wheel bolts sound like they could’ve come from the damaged wheels.
Only on their Theta 2 motors. Unfortunately, even though it was one engine family, the used it in practically everything. As far as their v6’s, in a general sense, theyre pretty reliable. I’ve seen them go 300k-400k miles with minimal maintenance.
I'm buying this exact model and color at the end of the month. I love that it doesn't come with the ugly amber lights in front. Would've been better in white light.
The lower end of the front looks awful. Looks like the lower model trims of the sportage. Awful boxy cheap design. They should have done the lower front end like they did on the higher sportage trims. This is the only Kia that is nice and they made it ugly in the front
Because they have 3 different product lines. SX-Prestige/X-Line/ X Pro all have prestige forms. I made a separate video for the X-Pro and explained the differences. You don’t have to watch. 🙌🏼
You didn't go over the mandatory 7 to 15 thousand dollar markup by all dealers on Kia Tellurides. Hard pass. Dealer wanted 65-67 on the various models. I mean you're up in the BMW X5 world at that markup price. These people are gonna be upside down paying that markup.
Market exist for a reason. If people are consistently paying that, then that means they value it that much. If people didn't, then the vehicles wouldn't sell, and then inventory would build up and dealers would sell at a much lower price point.

The Telluride lineup has 3 different lineups. The Xpro, Xline, and Standard Sx Prestige models. The SX-Prestige is the flagship model in its lineup. The XPro Prestige is the top trim for their Off Road variation.

Hate the 23 front end. When I saw what they did I fought like heck to get a 22 SX prestige NF AWD. Love our 22.

They’re bright enough. Safety-wise it should suffice. And so far, no wiring harness issues.

Yes. There is a difference in quilting. This is just to go with the off road theme of the Xline and xpro models. No difference in comfor

Call the various Kia dealerships in New Orleans. My understanding there is one that is #1 in the country, and you can order at MSRP. Will take time, but at least he's not raking you over the coals, nor are you overpaying. $10K-$25K would be worth the flight and drive home to anywhere in the country. It's only "market value" because marks are paying the markups. We have a Sorrento, love it. But when they said they wanted $15k over MSRP for a 2022 Telly, we literally LOL'd and walked away. Bought a (needed) pick-up at MSRP. At the end of the day, it's just a car - which I really don't want to be in, anyway.

Ambient lighting is on the SX. However, it is mostly on the dash. If you want lower areas, then there’s an interior lighting kit available.

I HATE IT! They should have left it alone. It’s too plain. I liked the way they had Telluride across the hood in the previous model. Looked more luxurious. 2023 is just ok. I hate the front. Maybe they should have just changed the inside with that beautiful screen and left well enough alone. I think I may want last years model

Kia King! Kool!!! Like the new Telluride! I know this is a general question...what's the average order time for Kia vehicles? 3 months? 6 months? 9 months?
It all depends on your local dealership’s allocations! For high volume dealerships with high allocations, then it can take 60-90 days for North American built vehicles, and 4-6 months for Korean built vehicles.
We ordered a SX Prestige from a high volume dealer in the DFW area in January...and when I say 'order' it was them taking your order info waiting for allocations. We are still waiting. Changed it over to a 2023 last week. He is saying our order is pretty old now so a couple of months more. It's pretty crazy. I ordered an Audi SQ5 in March and got it early September. Still a wait but not nearly as long as the Telly. Little disappointed with the exterior update, especially the DRLs and wheels, but the interior and technology updates should make up for it. The other thing that sucks is the price went up about $2300 from 2022 to 2023 and interest rates for financing have exploded. Kia taking a long time is costing me more money.

New front end is hideous. My wife and I were excited to place a pre-order for a 2023 but ended up taking our deposit back when the updates were released. Kia ruined this vehicle. Should've followed Porsche a little more and made changes a little less. Now we are searching for a left over or barely used 2022 but aren't having luck.

My only complain and i thinks a lot of people too.....give us exhaust tips on both sides. They missed this one......this is the one most complained on the exterior.

It's because of the spare tire. I know, i know. Other cars have a spare and dual exhaust but in the Telly, there isn't room to mount it with the tire in place. I guess if I had to choose one, I'd choose the spare tire rather than a fix a flat can.
@@trletts i am very picky in my cars.....2023 Telluride is almost perfect and the single side exhaust outlet is holding me back. My VW Atlas have dual exhaust, but the interior instruments is dated.

Nice vehicle indeed. As for this dealership, you can tell from the comments in resonance to msrp questions, that they are among the dealerships who choose to follow the practice of adding thousands to vehicles under the ruse of “market value” and dealer mark ups. Thankfully there are actually some dealerships out there that do not do these practices and do actually sell at msrp. I know from first hand experience.
Everyone has the freedom to purchase from who they like. We’re confident in our pricing according to the market. MSRP, no matter what region of the USA you look at, is under market value for the vehicle. But anyone can due their due diligence and find the deal that THEY’RE happy with.

Market value is not a ruse. Dealerships are still not receiving much inventory and have many fixed costs that must be met to keep the lights on. I don’t mind mark ups at this point if you are voting off the lot. I don’t like when they try to charge a mark up if you want to order. If I order a vehicle and wait for it I am not taking anything from your lot.

We ordered a 2022 Kia Telluride that came standard with the Telluride driveline vibration. A year and a half later we still have the vibration, 4 wrecked rims and 20 damaged wheel bolts. Crap vehicle; crap service. I guess that's having it all Kia style !!!
That sounds like an anomaly. It’s one of the best vehicles on the road. Wrecked rims aren’t the manufactures fault. The wheel bolts sound like they could’ve come from the damaged wheels.

Nice SUV,- historically speaking - KIA and Hyundais achilles heel is engine reliability .
Only on their Theta 2 motors. Unfortunately, even though it was one engine family, the used it in practically everything. As far as their v6’s, in a general sense, theyre pretty reliable. I’ve seen them go 300k-400k miles with minimal maintenance.
I'm buying this exact model and color at the end of the month. I love that it doesn't come with the ugly amber lights in front. Would've been better in white light.
They are cool, but I think the new headlights are for more modern!
The lower end of the front looks awful. Looks like the lower model trims of the sportage. Awful boxy cheap design. They should have done the lower front end like they did on the higher sportage trims. This is the only Kia that is nice and they made it ugly in the front
They’re streamlining the design on their SUVs. The Sportage has been a hit so far, and I feel like the Telluride will follow suit.
So why say this is the "fully loaded" one when its not an X-Line or an X-Pro....stopped watching at that point.
Because they have 3 different product lines. SX-Prestige/X-Line/ X Pro all have prestige forms. I made a separate video for the X-Pro and explained the differences. You don’t have to watch. 🙌🏼

You didn't go over the mandatory 7 to 15 thousand dollar markup by all dealers on Kia Tellurides. Hard pass. Dealer wanted 65-67 on the various models. I mean you're up in the BMW X5 world at that markup price. These people are gonna be upside down paying that markup.
Market exist for a reason. If people are consistently paying that, then that means they value it that much. If people didn't, then the vehicles wouldn't sell, and then inventory would build up and dealers would sell at a much lower price point.

The Telluride lineup has 3 different lineups. The Xpro, Xline, and Standard Sx Prestige models. The SX-Prestige is the flagship model in its lineup. The XPro Prestige is the top trim for their Off Road variation.
Not to mention they have an XLine Prestige model also. They have 3 variations of a flagship trim.
Why are you mentioning the Sportage? The X Pro SX Prestige has the highest MSRP in the Telluride lineup.

If the dealership would make enough on a single car, there wouldn’t be any issues. That doesn’t happen, however. And idk about your car buying experiences, but my customers always leave extremely happy.
