The psychopbabbling Alan is a riot- does he know way other way to converse? - and the warmth and intelligence of the despised paparazzo, compared to Molly's uptight and insensitive husband, is actually quite poignant. Love the fights between Lilly and her ex. I've actually heard battling couples screeching like this.
This movie looks fun, but I'm sorry, and no disrespect, Bette Midler has never looked like a 'goddess', and it's alarming to think that she could believe such a thing. Gail O'Grady on the other hand looks stunning, even with the red hair.

I'm 100% against nastiness, cruelty and verbal abuse (I would never call anyone 'ugly' or 'fat', for instance), but a society that requires us to pretend that everyone is a 10/10 hunk or beauty is absurd. Sorry, but that is going way too far, and I'm not sure how you can justify it. That type of groupthink nonsense is precisely what George Orwell warned us against.

Everyone is beautiful just the way they are and quite frankly for you to say that society is making us pretend that everyone is beautiful or a hunk is really disrespectful on your part. If anything, society is making the vision of beauty and attraction more impossible to fulfill. Nowadays, you aren't considered beautiful unless you're skinny enough, or your hair is long enough, etc. There are so many standards and guidelines that society has created so that people think that's what "beauty" is supposed to look like. You literally did imply that she was ugly or unattractive by saying that. It’s just a dumb argument. Beauty is always and will always be in the eye of the beholder. So not everyone is going to be beautiful to everyone else. People are allowed to have opinions. Back off. Yes I know this was written two years ago.
