Note that mana abilities are activated abilities. It doesn't change the result, but Stony Silence means Ashod's Altar cannot sac a creature to make mana at 38:00.
Hey Lynch! As always great show! The only thing that I think could be improved is using images of the card version that is actually being played. It makes easier for new player to correlate the card shown with the actual card on the table
lmao Larry using the threat of the ride home is the most relatable thing, I've been in many edh games where threats of real life things have gotten weaved into the game, including not buying someone lunch, not giving someone a ride home, or actual real life violence lol
I gotta say, Larry has an amzing "Don't attack me or else" threat. The, 'You don't want that smoke' combined with the subtle reminder of the car ride home? Dear lord man That kid was actually scared even after he killed Larry!
Larry, playing one of my all-time favourite commanders?! The General was the very first commander I ever made a deck for. Sorry it didn't pan out the best, but this made my night!
David, if you're reading this: drinking water after consuming hot sauce will actually make it burn more. Thre water will interact with the capsaicin molecules, and that's not what you want. You took it like a champ though, lol.
Don't give into threats, Sean totally should have killed Larry's commander. Protection from monocolor makes for a tough to get rid of commander that runs you over with golems if it sticks too long.
For context... Larry and Sean have been friends forever. They like to mess with each other. They have known each other longer than I have known either of them. Larry loves to mess with his buddies. He was having fun.
For me the comeuppance ended up being appropriate. DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS LARRY?!? Bummer that the initial vibe was a fail on my part, it's always in good fun between Sean and I, unfortunately that didn't come across on video this time. Thanks for watching and for your feedback!
I'm so happy to see some Tuvasa gameplay. She is the first deck I built and bought and she is my baby. By the way Lynch check out Vesuvan Diplomacy, it is a amazing new card that works so well with Tuvasa.
Bro every time I build a new deck/put one together I always see it in the next episode, Seton, Tuvasa, and General Grevious have all made the cut so far lol
lol TBH if David used the boots and hit Lynch he'd probably have won. Larry is scary tho, and I wouldn't put it past him to be able to kill David on the crack back, especially sans authority. Lynch did a really good job setting up to totally take over the game in 1 turn tho. Very well done.
Gosh , I don’t know who to vote for , I live tuvasa and hapatra….. I guess let’s go tuvasa and let’s go !! Merry Christmas everyone and catch ya on the flippity!
@@jacobisbell9388 you are right, didn't remember that they are the same. And after double checking Stoney Silence rulings it specifically says including mana abilities. My bad.
Lol Lynch. Everyone else was playing B- C+ tier and then Tuvasa just hits turn 7 and goes infinite in 2 different ways. I hope this episode taught everyone a couple of lessons about power level. Interestingly enough, Lynch's deck was the only 3 color one at the table. However, that being stated, David's deck certainly could have been higher power. He was running a few sub-optimal equipment's such as the Neglected heirloom and lightning greaves. However, given the fact that he made a conscious decision to not kill Lynch, and instead meme on Larry I would say that Lynch is at fault for the unbalanced nature of this game. It wasn't just Omniscience either, there are a lot of high tier cards in Lynch's deck. Which is okay, if you're playing in a B to A lobby, but this certainly didn't seem like that kind of lobby to me. Granted, Bruenor can one shot people quite easily, but he's frail. See how hard David got hit by a single board wipe? Instead of focusing on drawing cards, Lynch could have built the deck to be very board wipe and aura heavy instead of putting in the A to S enchantments like Omniscience, stony silence and Authority of the consuls. All in all, it wasn't the most unbalanced game I've seen, nor the least enjoyable, but I think Lynch as the creator/ manager of the show should be a little more conscious of the table's power level/ the power level of his own deck. If I had to rank this game in enjoyment on the same F through S scale I would rank it D+ for the enjoyable banter.
David should’ve deleted lynch instead larry. Anytime you see somebody untapping lands multiple times and doubling/tripling mana, they gotta go. Paradox engine is banned for a reason 🤣 questionable threat assessment but otherwise a great game!
i dont like when the game gets changed by a ride threat it changed his play to me thats unfair lost a bit of respect for larry on that one. If it was in good fun fine but it changed his attack. at least make a deal not just a threat.
For context, Larry and Sean are Best Buds for years. It's all for fun and jokes. In the actual game everyone was having fun, just playing up the shit talking as people do, and sometimes for the camera's people play it up. I truly believe it was for good fun and just to F with your friend. They have known each other longer then I have known either of them. Friends messing with each other.
The times similar threats get made in our playgroup it's always been good for a laugh. Unfortunately, it seems not to have landed in the same way in this context. On the other hand while I did play hardball politics to try to gain advantage, I became the obvious threat - credit to David for seeing it that way and sending me to the shadow realm. I hope this episode comes to be seen as a cautionary tale for such chicanery.
Because he had to attack for kill with 21 commander damage. If he didn't kill Larry, larry would probably have killed him on his turn and Boros would have been tapped. And probably larry would have won the game considering the board and Lynch dead
Always equip greaves asap. You can always take them off on your next turn and put other things on before reattaching them. Edit: Also when you put auras or equipment behind but over the top of cards they're attached to. No one can read your wall of text below the card... People can recall what it does if they see sword of feast and famine at the top. Not even pro tips, just common sense.
I never took Larry for that salty "don't touch my commander or I'll attack you all game" type of baby. I hate whining like this. "let me win the game WHAAAA"

agreed! love the show but that gets to me everytime
Totally agree
I agree. I don't know why they sometimes use a different art other than the one being used. It's not difficult to grab an image off the internet.
I noticed they often use Drop or otherwise interesting arts, is that so wrong?
@@mightyone3737 no, but do not help to keep track of the table because of lack of correlation in art and digital photo
Congrats on 50 episodes!

I would’ve easily killed his commander. That thing gets way outta hand.
Yeah, Larry bullied him a little.
Seemed like Larry wasn't his usual cheery self

I love how much more comfortable david has gotten over time. I dig that kid. Bring him back some more.
That enchantress pop off at the end was awesome to see. Love this crew too!
Lynch's board towards the end was complete chaos. Enchantment decks can be super nutty under the right conditions.
My favorite guests all in one game!
Love the guests! You can tell they are having fun.
Thank you for always posting vids, in hospital rn so it helps me heal watching y’all’s vids
Absolutely love watching commander content, and I think IHYD is the best on TH-cam. I get a lot of fun deck ideas from watching yall. ♥️
Love this channel! Actually decided to build a Bruvac Mill deck because of this channel and got myself back into Magic:)
bruvac is my favorite commander.😊

Larry “im not mad” your eyes say otherwise hahhahhahhahaha
Still my favorite gameplay channel, such good energy, keep making vids!
Water doesn't help against Spicy, you need to chug Milk, oil, or eat bread or similar to absorb the Capsaicin :)
True. At least it chills a bit for a moment though and staying hydrated is important as well. :D
Daaaaamn Larry. That was for real lol on that ride home man
Blind Obedience is such a good card, loving the content, such a good group you have going.
It was authority of consuls, the slightly worse blind obedience
That looked like a fun match. Great win too!
6:08 you're welcome.
Larry doin Sean dirty. Wtf Larry?!
Jeff Goldblum Larry makes his return! Seriously, close your eyes and listen to Larry and all you'll hear is Jeff Goldblum.

Love the post-game reflections...
I told you, u can win with combat damaged in edh. love some good Boros decks in the morning .more equipment type deck
Did David make a hilarious joke.. hiLARRYous??😂😂🤣
One tempest of light away from Mike having a bad time.
You know there's something missing from this IHYD video where is uncle Skye!!!! I miss seeing his quickdraw
Another day, another dope looking boros deck.
I love how you always emphasize that edh is about friendship
It took a couple weeks but I'm officially caught up on all episodes
Hoping to see a second hapatra enchantress deck O.0
As a tuvasa player, I loved this.
Great Finish Lynch! 🙌😉

Fun game! But I don't think Ashnod's Altar could be activated with Stony Silence in play?
its a mana ability not a activated ability so still works

everyone rushing lynch on the turn he won felt kind of bad. Let the man go off, he earned it.
Larry was the target because he chose such ugly sleeves. I'd have taken him out too just for saying I couldn't win if I were that young man
