Temple of the Gods - custom Majora's Mask or Ocarina of Time romhack music (Zelda 64) by robotsonn

Please subscribe and leave a like! This one started with those falling choir notes - they popped into my head and drove me slightly crazy just going round and round. I figured hey, that reminds me of chasing my tail round Zelda dungeons…!
It uses a standard Majora's Mask soundbank, so should be fine to go into MMR (Majora's Mask Randomizer). Because it's built around a couple of specific melodies, it also feels much more MM than Ocarina of Time to me - temples in OoT lean more towards texture and feel, with a less clear structure.

Can't believe you still haven't got 1,000 subs yet. You're my favorite custom game music composer on TH-cam. There's nobody else around who can put the soundfont and the signature music style of the N64 Zelda games to such greatness. I listen to this, your Canyon theme, the Pirates' Lair and the Temple of Thieves almost everyday because they're real masterpieces!

That's fantastic use of the pitch shift on the vocals. I think the other instrument could do with a bit of variety in the velocity of the notes to suit the phrasing or rhythm, but besides that it's great.

Good job! What was the workflow for composing? Did you do it in a DAW with different midi instruments? I can't find much info on getting the actual OoT/MM midi instruments into a DAW. Thanks!

Thank you! I use Logic Pro X, and it’s luckily very easy to use a soundfont with - it’s just a case of putting it in the right folder, and the native sampler loads it in. I’ve heard from other people that other DAWs can be a bit harder! I know some use Sekaiju and find that works well
