I'm from Etowah. I remember going to dance there!❤ I was a kid...in the 80s early 90s. I remember the name, and the inside of the dance hall! You go to alot of my favorite places, and some I haven't been to yet. Thank you for the great videos and memories!

This place holds special memories of me and my Dad enjoying these cabins and as a teenager the dance hall.

Horace & Lynnell were my Great Aunt & Uncle. I had some Great times here growing up. I was the flower girl in Both my Aunt Treva And my Brother's Weddings that took place here. I didn't think much of all the displays with arrowheads & such back then, was too busy chasing after the peacocks they had roaming around the property:-) I think back now and wish I'd payed more attention to all the Awesome historical things that were there... thanks for the video , it's made alot of memories pop back in my head :-) :-)

Horace was my grandmother Doris Jean Epperson "Thompson's" brother... Me and my cousin went there every weekend .. definitely some of my best memories there. My grandmother helped run the dance hall.!! Really miss those days! Thank you for sharing this...

Oh WOW,I remember when I was all hidden, it's so sad it lost the up keeping on the place ,it was beautiful when I seen it in the 80s , because I lived in a little white house next door,I always wanted to help them but I was raising a family at that time and was busy helping my friend over at 64 fleamarket but you did a great job sharing Thanks!

Funny finding someone so close to me on TH-cam. I’m in McCaysville (Copperhill)

One of the houses was The Westbrook House. Does anyone know where it is now ? It was the house my grandfather Westbrook was born in and ironically my grandparents on my paternal side were married in that house. I would so love to visit it again. I got to visit it well over 25 years ago.

I just bought a 41 Buick that apparently belonged to the owner of the settlement. I have a brochure from it & a 10th anniversary bumper sticker on the car. I’d love to learn more of the car’s history if you know anything

Great info, but your slow, spaced out words were hard to listen to, I could not make it through.
