Dolly Parton aside... I'm concerned by the fact that you are so winded...while just walking!! Please have your heart looked at.
I miss it
Congratulations on your awesome skeleton! Glad you survived the storm 😎👍
Thanks Kathy! I'm very fortunate that it didn't hit us. Are y'all alright where you're at?
@@acdcnut2011 Yes thankfully! Missed us by about 30 miles👍
@@KathysTube Awesome! I'm glad to hear y'all are alright.
Seeing the blue whale brought back many memories because it was once a ride there when I was a kid and I thought I would never see it again!
These Halloween Decorations is getting creepier and Creepier...
You should see the Bone Collector and Scare crow at Lowe's. Now that's nightmare fuel.
I got to see Gomek as a child. Favorite Croc in the world.
Was it when he was alive? The first time I saw him was in 1997. I think he had been stuffed a few years by then.
@acdcnut2011 yeah I was 7or 8 when I saw him in the 90s
@@dubsydabster Now that must've been something! I've seen older photos of when he was alive and he was about as tall as a man when he lifted his head up.
@acdcnut2011 Oooh yeah. I seeing him under water, I still remember how absolutely massive he was.
🤣🤣🤣I NEVER trusted wicker🤣🤣🤣
Neither do I 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🫂💖😇💖🫂🤣🤣🤣
Thanks!
Pretty nice place... thanks Chet 😎👍
Thanks Kathy!
Unfortunately this girl is done for. Every single piece of wood would have to be replaced. Water is extremely damaging and there is just nothing salvageable here. Mold has taken hold too. It's a shame people can't be responsible and sell off or dispose of things properly. Especially something with such history.
Sadly they purchased everything(shovels, picks, blasting caps, dynamite, all other tools)from the company they work for. Check out the movie "The Molly Maguires" Sean Connery, Richard Harris In my area local authors will take their books to the local library to display and post information about where to purchase books. Also if their is a local history section the library will want several books to check out and one to keep in the library local history section.
I'll look into it. Anything with Sean Connery is good...Except that last animated movie he was in. That's what I thought. Your a slave to the coal company at that point. A lot of my book is history based actually 😃
Dam just missed the live
Well shucks 😯
Very nice, well done! Thanks Chet 😎👍
Thanks Kathy!
I can't wait to see what you do for Halloween month
I'm excited! I've got a lot of cool stuff planned for next month.
There are a pair of natural bridges in the Big South Fork area.
You did a great job filming this. My husband and I want to visit there we’re from Ky. Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
No problem! This Park was awesome! I wish I could've gotten down to the second natural bridge, but the trail was closed.
You want to know who was here - read The Book of Mormon
I've seen a few videos of the jail, including a haunting...you did a good job documenting. I remember hearing scary stories about Scott County back in the day... Thanks Chet😎👍
No problem Kathy! Miranda and Kris really have a good set up here. I tried to blend it with story and history and not giving away too much. One of these days I'd like to do an investigation. Those are what is really flowing money through.
Can't wait for Haunt Season to start. Be careful lighting those candles.
I can't wait either! I've already got my places lined up and everything. One of these days I need to make a new intro for it. This is the third year I've used it.
Think ill got squat one..why not? Look like free rent to me? Such a waste to see empty space.👍😔
Looks bigger than most county courthouses. Frank And Jesse James both tried their hand at farming. Frank James showed He could be successful at farming, but Jesse didn't like farming because their was no adventure it being a farmer. Jesse spent most of His time sitting in the local gentlemen's club talking business with anyone available while nursing a single beer the whole day.
That's what I said. It definitely felt like one of those old-school jails. In the jail's history only two prisoners ever escaped but were brought back hours later. I feel like it had the Brushy Mountain advantage. It was surrounded by mountains. And about James, it never dawned on me that he was in TN for a little while.
Will the Museum be selling your book?
Five Points?
@@acdcnut2011yes
New subscriber, just came across your channel, i live just across the state line in Murray county Ga, i will definitely be purchasing your book, local lore, and legends fascinate me no matter the locality, but even more so when it's from my local area.
Awesome! I thought about writing a book centered around North Georgia's ghost stories.
@@acdcnut2011 nice
Bro that bridge is most definitely haunted! The only haunted place I visited at night where I was scared to get out of the car and I dont scare easily and visit haunted places anc cemeteries regularly, of course you know that lol. When I got back on I-10 and drove past it I saw this strange floating light going around it. I am thinking about returning to get some footage.
Damn Travis 😯 That would be awesome! I heard somewhere out there Ted Bundy left his initials. I couldn't find it to save my life.
@@acdcnut2011 I can’t locate the pig shed where her corpse was. I found one site with the coordinates but it’s back a ways on private property
It would be interesting to add the part where the Mayor of Chattanooga (Ralph Kelly) and other City Government Officials commandeered the General on it's way back to Georgia after it was refurbished in the 1960's. I believe that is the point where the court battle started. Chattanooga felt like it belonged to them.
That's a story in it's own right lol. I think New Jersey where it was manufactured wanted it too. I did a video on the Texas which was really cool to see.
Hunted LBL in the 70’s and 80’s. Never saw a bigfoot, oe werewolf. But if your back deep in the woods hunting and come out at night those woods are spooky. Haven’t been down there since 1991. Cool video.
Thanks!
Awesome place. Well check it out. On another note just watch a video call highway thru hell and there is a towing company called Jamie Davis Towing. On his older tow trucks like the General, he uses a Holmes wrecker. So cool. 😊
Really? I'll have to check that out.
You're Journalist adjacent 😁 My brother drove a tow truck many years ago... told some crazy stories! I never thought I'd see cute wreckers...lol Enjoyed the video Chet 😎👍
No problem Kathy! I never thought I would either lol. And to think some of them can actually tow is another weird story.
That's in Turtle Island and Awesome meet 😭😭😭 soooo lucky
Thanks! Of all places I met Sonya at Dragon Con back in 2022. We struck up a conversation and we've been friends ever since.
I was able to re visit it not too long ago. They added even more since I was there the first time. Nice catch!
Thanks man! I thought about vlog you made when I went down there. I was surprised about the memorial wall.
@@acdcnut2011 Yeah that has been a mainstay of that place. Every year they do a ceremony when they add more
@@AndysJourneys That would be an interesting thing to see. I didn't realize there is a three times fatality rate for wreckers as first responders.
The Monk story was my favorite.
It's one of my favorites too!
You can tell what's backfill and whats original lakebed.
As a Titanic historian and enthusiast, I've been stoked for this one. A friend of mine is buying tickets and is buying a third for me for a birthday present because they know I've been into this ship.
It's a really cool exposition! Y'all will love it
I got it and thoroughly enjoying these stories from our home town. Some I knew but more details in the book and some were quite a nice surprise. Good job Chet!
Thanks 😃
I was going to college at Cleveland State during that time... I majored in psychology and naturally had an interest in parapsychology... I got to speak with these guys.. the parapsychology side of me was enthralled, while the psychology side of me was skeptical!😂 Two very interesting people to say the least! Thanks for this post!
No problem! When I first heard that the Warrens gave a lecture in Cleveland I was mind blown. I'm surprised it doesn't get talked about more.
I used to visit my grandparents in Chattanooga in the summers during the late 70s - early 80s and Lookout was one of my favorite places to visit mainly for the ice cream shop with the boy climbing the giant ice cream cone at the bottom of the incline! Ruby Falls and Crystal City were a dream but the alpine coming down Raccoon Mt. was an absolute nightmare!!! So fast this thing was, so stinking dangerous all the way down. Definitely not the thing any 6 or 7 y/o should be going down alone. Thanks mom & dad😄
So very interesting! I am reading Leave No Trace by Sara Driscoll which is about the Ocoee River Flume. I had to google the flume to find out what it actually looked like. I also found your video. Thank you! Awesome find!
Cool! I'd never heard of this! Gotta visit:)❤

This slowed the Saxon conquest of England. 500 AD Svealand- The First Swedish State- Svealand, the first Swedish state was founded around 500 A.D. The Goths inhabited the Southern part of the Swedish peninsula. Much of what is known about early Sweden has been taken from the epic "Beowulf", written in 700 A.D. 503 - 557 AD Persian-Roman Wars- Between 503 and 557 A.D.,three successive wars -- interrupted by periods of peace -- are fought between the Persian Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire. All have the same basic cause -- an inability to define the borders and the relationship between the two empires. In 567 a 'definitive' peace was reached. Under its terms, Rome agreed to pay the Persians 30,000 pieces of gold annually. The borders between the empire were reaffirmed, Christian worship was to be protected in the Persian Empire, and regulation of trade and diplomatic relations were laid out. 507 AD Kingdom Of Franks - The Franks' Clovis defeated the Visigoths under Alaric II at the Battle of Vouille. The Visigoths retreated into Spain, where they retained their Empire. 532 AD Nika Revolt- A popular uprising took place in Constantinople against Justinian. Constantinople was nearly destroyed by fire. The insurrection quelled with great cruelty by Belisarius. Thirty thousand people were slain. 537 AD Hagia Sophia Cathedral Built- The Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Constantinople was completed. The cathedral represented the culmination of Byzantine architecture, with a large domed basilica. 552 AD Battle at Taginae- The Byzantine army invaded Italy and defeated the Ostrogoths at the Battle of Taginae. The Byzantines, using a combination of pikes and bows, decimated the Ostrogothic Kingdom of Italy. 558 - 650 AD The Avars- The Avars, a Turkish Mongolian group, formed an Empire that extended from the Volga to the Hungarian plains. In 626 A.D., they laid siege to Constantinople, but were forced to withdraw. 565 AD Justinian Great- Justinian the Great died in 565 A.D. bringing to end 38 years of rule as leader of the Byzantine Empire. Under his stewardship, the Empire expanded to include all of North Africa and parts of the Middle East as well as Italy and Greece. Under Justinian, the first comprehensive compilation of Roman Law was published. 572 AD Leovigild King Of Visigoths- Leovigild the King of Visigoths set off to reinvigorate the empire. He extended the Vistigoth dominance to all parts of the Iberian Pennisular. 577 AD Battle At Deorham- At the Battle of Deorham in southwestern England, the Saxons defeated the Welsh. This victory virtually completed the Saxon conquest of England. 581 AD Sui Dynasty Reunites China- After nearly four centuries of internal divisions and strife, China was reunited under the leadership of Yang Jian. A member of a respected aristocratic family, Yang Jian founded the Sui Dynasty. Yang Jian used Buddhism to help unite the kingdom. 598 AD Pope Greogory Obtains 30 Year Truce- Gregory the Great was the first monk to become Pope. For many, he was a model for the future papacy. Gregory controlled the civil affairs of Rome and expanded the power of the Church. Gregory also negotiated a 30-year truce with Lombards, insuring the independence of Rome.
The pink room was to the right if you were standing in front of what is left probably about 25 to 50 feet from the manor. It was a square structure like someone else said. There was a chimney i think or fire pit and there is still a small piece of it left there or it was there a few years ago. There are pics on the net showing the chicken coop/pink room with the manor in the background. You could tell it was a decent distance away from the manor itself
Been there a couple of times, i live about 45 minutes away. My dad was working on the 4 lane when the murders happened. He told me that it looked like they were building a pond or pool maybe and it was lined with car floor mats of all different descriptions. When we were there i was down in where the bottom of the pond still is and was digging through the leaves and actually pulled up part of an old rubber car floor mat. I thought that was pretty cool that I was able to actually prove what my dad had told me from so many years ago
OMG .. I'm older than Debbie 😯 I haven't had a Little Debbie since my kids grew up...lol Thanks Chet 😎👍
No problem Kathy!
Little Debbie came into my store in Cleveland one day. Her name was McKee. When I saw her face, even though she was middle aged there was no mistaking her. LOL
She's a very interesting woman for sure!
Have you ever looked into why they tore down our beautiful, historical court house in Cleveland? That place, and especially the big clock has such special memories for me as a child. I am also curious as to who is responsible for the decision to destroy such a beautiful old building and build the hideous, unsightly CUBE that is there now. As I have grown older, and had time to think about it, it really angers me. I used to have friends in high places in Cleveland but do not know much about the lay of the land now, as I live in Knoxville. TY
Oh, I could tell you that. It caught fire and the idea was an after-hours decision with the mayor at the time and his buddies.
@@acdcnut2011 No, I don't remember it ever catching fire. The courthouse that preceded it did, which is why it was built in the first place. Cleveland's mayor had nothing to do with it. It was a COUNTY courthouse, and, at the time, the county had a different form of government than they one they have now -- different but just as uncaring about ALL the county's folk's needs and desires as the one one they have now (county executive/mayor, with commissioners). And just for the record, that ugly monstrosity they built in its place HAS caught fire.
@@tablature6121 It may have outdated and not up to code then. I can't remember which. But I agree that even today it feels like they'll do as they please.
I was just here this week
