Hi JT, thanks for the great video and instruction. I had always thought it would be a more time consuming project until I watched your video. The whole thing took me about 3 hrs. I pulled the wheels off for a little extra room. The only other tool that I used besides the 1/4” ratchet and the nut driver, was a mini finger ratchet. Really is a great update for my 03 C5.

These are really nice. A heads up, they won't pass inspection in Delaware. Ask me how I know. The lens on the outer section has to be amber. Even though it blinks amber. Crazy thing they're ok in NJ
I’m coming over from bmw…I see my parking light markers but….turn signals???
I ended up installing the front corners from the top by removing the headlights. I’ve removed them several times for HID/LED upgrades so I’m familiar with the process. I couldn’t do it from the bottom because I zipped tied HID and LED ballasts and wires to the brake cooling duct so I can’t easily remove it. I found doing it from the headlights space easy and you have plenty of room to see and work on it. The smoked corners look awesome on my Torch Red C5. Thanks again for the useful video and help!
BTW, the spring is very useful, keeps the housing tight to the bumper cover. This is important especially if your driving at high speed. Avoids pressure on the 2 bottom screws and prevents cracks to the bumper and corner light housing
So the 3 bolts are screws ? That’s where I am now

I have the jack pucks. They go in the holes underneath and you jack it in that location.

Do these still hyper flash even with the harness install?I was thinking about getting these but that's a deal breaker for me, I don't want to run resistors
@Douglas Z these lights are so impressive. I don't have the hyper flash harness they come with plug-in resistors. There true plug and play . They are 110% worth it 👌

Appreciate the step-by-step install! I recently graduated from 1/32 scale slot cars to a 1/1 scale 50th Anniversary coupe, and am now working through exterior updates. I just replaced the tail lights, third brake light, and side markers with smoke LED from vette-lights, super easy install, even the hyper-flash bracket. I'm more nervous about the front corner lights, mainly because I'm not as young as I used to be and those are some tight spaces! Looking forward to watching your other C5 videos, especially on the paint restoration. Great channel!

Yea possibly. It wasn’t too hard. Just watch a video on how to remove the dash below the gauges. It plugs in there.
Put mine in and they look and work great so far.
Fuck the resistors they are aftermarket and work depending on the watts that’s shooting out the car. I bought a harness it’s coming tonight from corvette envy or anywhere but it’s simple to put in all it does it balance the flow of the energy to all lights. That harness will come in handy when you install LEd’s on the headlight as well. It’s all about balancing the power that’s all. Those resistors would’ve helped to a lower AMP led but the ones we got needs a harness because those resistors can melt through the plastic and catch on fire

I have been running these for a few weeks. No problems so far. Work great. The resistor though, gets so hot you can barely touch it. I mean super hot. It has bothered me enough that I bought a hyperflash harness that I will be putting in this weekend. Hopefully I can then unplug the resistors. They are hot AF.

@@RubberCityMotoring I put in the hyperflash harness tonight. The lights worked better than before. Before they worked fine but the flashes were sometimes a little off speed like a few quick flashes and then settling down. Also mine really didn't work well if the engine wasn't running. So they worked fine when driving, just a little sketchy if you were paying attention.
With the harness and the resistors still in there everything worked perfectly. I removed the resistors and they worked great.
Neither of the resistors was still glued on. The tape was baked brown and the black paint on them was gone. They are now copper or copper colored.
I'm glad I got them out of my car both because I think they were a problem waiting to happen and because the lights function better without them. $50 well spent.
I'm sure all of the hyperflash harnesses are the same but if anyone is interested the one I got was from Corvette Envy and it fit and functioned perfectly.

Going to give this a try soon - any advantage to removing the small resistors? Basically, do they still get hot with the hyperflash installed?
Having some trouble with my C5 leds. Tried every way to connect the plugs but it still wants to blink in double time for blinkers. I have red to red on the small bulb and the led pack and black to black on the big socket? Any thoughts? Do I have to connect both lights for them to work properly?

I think it would. Mine in the video is pewter, so somewhat close for you to compare.

So these come with a small little module for each light. They work fine with no issues and no hyper flash.
So if I get these lights I have to exclude the resistor but put in the hyper flash harness?
Do these assemblies include the white parking lights also?
Everything you see is included - I had a hyper flash harness before, which seems to help everything out.
Do these hyper flash if you have the hyper flash harness installed? Do you still need the resistors with the harness? my C5 has the harness installed. I also have the pewter Metallic BTW :)
From everything I heard, you won’t get hyper flash with your setup. Best of luck!!

A little update..
Got the resistor harness in this morning. It took me less than 10 mins to put it in through the under panels by the steering wheel and it WORKED LIKE A CHARM. It’s 4 screws and the whole thing comes down but I would take the center console out which isn’t hard to do and do it that way you don’t damage any plastic tabs. Spend that $50 on the harness and do all the LED work you want on your car don’t depend on those aftermarket load resistors

@@harryharry3193 of what? I don’t record videos but I can definitely guide you. Also you have to shift into neutral or 1st gear to pop that console back and up.. harness didn’t take me that long. It got confusing when I did my taillights to smoked LED’s so I had to switch to a better harness provided by the tech who sent me the lights. My stupid transmission is skipping now I haven’t done shit to it for about 2 weeks now. It skips 3rd and goes straight into 4th

I thought you were supposed to stick resistors to a metal chassis?
Probably should have... I am going to remove them because I put in a hyper flash module.

How do they look with the fog lights on?

I just installed these. My blinkers now blink as if a bulb is out, all of them. What is my issue? What's the fix?
