This is so beautiful. There is so much joy on the stage and how fitting is this song for Gord? I love how he keeps trying to back up, it's not his band and he doesn't want to take away from them but they keep bringing him forward. They are so gentle with him.
Sadly, w/ the cancer he has... He may have been confused or forgetting where he was (depending on how far along the cancer is)... Kinda reminds me of the last pics of Freddie Mercury-very gaunt and fading away. The thing that made me smile was that Gord is surrounded by fellow musicians who love and support him.

CobraDove not necessarily true. There are so many types of cancers that having a cure for cancer in general is impossible. There are cures for some cancers but most especially the one Gord has are not so easy. But that doesn't mean we can't find a cure.

People have been calling me "Gord Downie" my entire life and I don't know why. I was fortunate to have seen The Hip twice, once at the “DTE Music Theatre” outside of Detroit which is basically the same venue as the “Molson Canadian Amphitheatre” in Toronto which is half in doors & outdoors + i seen them in Stratford,Ontario for a beautiful 3 day festival & it was so surreal seeing one of my favourite Canadian bands only 15-20mins from my hometown of St.Marys,Ontario. CobraDove not necessarily true. There are so many types of cancers that having a cure for cancer in general is impossible. There are cures for some cancers but most especially the one Gord has are not so easy. But that doesn't mean we can't find a cure.

I was fortunate to have seen The Hip twice, once at the “DTE Music Theatre” outside of Detroit which is basically the same venue as the “Molson Canadian Amphitheatre” in Toronto which is half in doors & outdoors + i seen them in Stratford,Ontario for a beautiful 3 day festival & it was so surreal seeing one of my favourite Canadian bands only 15-20mins from my hometown of St.Marys,Ontario. I’m a HUGE “Hip” & “54•40” fan 🎶
