I get confused with her background. Is she arabic? That's what she says her. On other occassions she's said that her father is from Baghdad and that she's Iraqi. On wikipedia though, it says that she's Kurdish. Now, which is it?

Iraq has many ethnic groups like arabs (largest), kurds (2nd largest), assyrians, turkmen, etc etc. Being from Baghdad also does not fix ones ethnicity either. My whole family lived in Baghdad, until they got murdered and deported by Saddam, but they are all (feyli) kurds. Personally I only know kurds with the family name "shawkat" and this made me think she has kurdish roots. However arabs might use this name too, I am not sure about this. In the video they do speak arabic and she seems to identify as arab.
