From O&G to Offshore Wind Turbine Structures Fatigue Design Considerations

The webinar is based on the presentation given at the Structural Integrity 2021 conference (Online, 15-16 November 2021). The current fatigue design standards have developed over time, and much of the data used as the basis for their recommendations was generated from structures and components from the oil and gas industry. This webinar will provide an overview of how several relevant fatigue design standards were developed, and highlight some differences between fatigue design of oil and gas structures compared to that of offshore wind structures, and highlight the research needed to fill the gap.
