D.O. ‘s vocals made me curious about exo. his runs are insane. his vocals can’t compare to anyone. he just stands out. instant serotonin boost just listening to DO sing.
This song's structure is incredibly unique, specifically that acapella bridge, and where they chose to place it in the song. It hearkens back to Felix Mendelssohn, the original inventor of this type of structure, back in the 1800s. Back then they didn't call it a "bridge," but rather a "cadenza." Most composers agreed that the cadenza should be written towards the end of the song, but Mendelssohn believed it should be before the 'recap,' or the final chorus of a song, which would effectively place the cadenza in the middle of the piece...just like in this song! You almost never hear song structures like this one in modern music, & EXO definitely deserve recognition for their originality in that regard.

And I still consider Tempo one of the best, most complete, and well done songs in K-pop history. I can mention other songs but this one is just WOW.

This whole album is a whole thicc P-L-A-Y-L-I-S-T. Gravity is the queen of queens, the queen bee, the queen of the world, Gravity us just a whole ass queen.

And lastly, Dizz, I felt the same about the accapella section, I kept on getting chills every 2 seconds while listening to it for the first time.
Khadija was completely right about the boyz II men part because exo went full 90’s in this comeback, chen going michael jackson, daft punk tribute and even visually it looked it came out of that era. Watched your Danger reaction. If you want a treat for your eyes and ears, it's from 2014 but it doesn't disappoint, check out Taemin and Kai - Pretty Boy - from Taemin's Ace album. Since you guys really liked the lower parts in the a cappella bridge, I thought you should know that's the voice of Chanyeol, which is layered with either his own voice or Chen's (it's hard to tell, since Chen's lower register goes very low as well, and he was able to sing that part during a livestream). :)
