- Knocked Loose is one of the most exciting young hardcore bands. Their new Will Putney (Every Time I Die, Misery Index) produced record ‘A Different Shade of Blue,' recently came out Via Pure Noise. The very young heavy-hitters Knocked Loose has taken hardcore/metal/punk scenes by storm in just a couple years. Hailing from Oldham County, KY, they've changed the genre as we know it & have garnered a massive and well-deserved fanbase across genres & generations along the way. The band have a true passion and knowledge for hardcore music and were more than happy to chat with Records In My Life.
This is an edited version of our interview with Knocked Loose, prior to their show at the Rickshaw in Vancouver, BC. The entire conversation lasts for nearly a full 24 minutes and covers a lot of unique questions that we didn't have time to include in our TH-cam cut. Yo Bryan has a surprisingly deep voice
shmoobtube and isaac has a surprisingly high voice
Right, I have no idea how his yells are so high pitched.
He goes from vin diesel to mickey mouse in .0001 seconds
Bryan is a great vocalist. Probably sound like Phil Anselmo in a few years haha.
He can actually do some low gutturals, I'm guessing he just goes for the high screams cause it works for KL and blending with Issac's lows
It's cool that they're straight edge. So many touring artists end up having to quit because they destroy their bodies with drugs and alcohol so it's good to know that they're smarter than falling into that trap.
they have to to maintain their extremely high energy
Pretty sure their drummer isn’t edge and smokes bud/drinks. Not that that should matter lol
@@logosmedia9942 true, people that overly champion straight edge are too fixated on it.. as long as it's not a huge problem, I dont see the issue with smoking/drinking responsibly
Tell that to keith richards or ozzy osborne 🤘🏻
Good video! One thing I'd recommend is turning down the song referencing the album in question, it can drown out what the interviewees are saying.
Cool to see Jon Hamm branching out and interviewing hardcore artists.
Love that they mentioned Slipknot and Korn
Jesus Christ the audio mix on this video stinks
deadass
Audio leveling on this video between recorded music and speaking is horrendous.
Seeing emmure play goodbye to the gallows from start to finish live would be fucking sick
YESSSS
Dudes are alot more laid back than I was expecting.
This “dude” named Robert Johnson.
YO! Finally somebody with a voice who’s also a figure in the scene shouts out Goodbye To The Gallows. Stupid heavy album that was ahead of the curve.
I wouldn't expect Robert Johnson if you have not read the story on how he got his skills as a gutair player the devil himself gave him these amazing skills just go read the story if you never have it's awesome
I was waiting to hear them say remembering never woman and children die first or misery signals of malice and the magnum heart
Isaac is obsessed with Robert Johnson and the crossroads, I wonder if he's seen Ralph Macchio shred against Mr. Vai?
this was a cool video. these guys truly love music, you can see it in their eyes.
AJFA is Isaac’s favorite Metallica album, I knew he was a man of culture
Robert Johnson played his way out of death row twice.
I used to tell my friend i wanna see knocked loose but they would never come to kentucky low and behold they dont even live an hour away
Saw them last night. It was great.
To Bryan, My old ass band played with Emmure while they were touring Goodbye To The Gallows…they WERE the shit.
Goodbye to the gallows!!! One of my favorite albums.
i gasped when he said it lmao
LITERALLY Was mine as well I get so much hate for it like that album changed me
Great interview!!
Whoever edited this needs to be fired. The speaking is so quiet and then they suddenly play a song at a deafening volume and then you need to quickly turn down your volume. 🤦♂️
Ughh! I FUCKING LOVE THEM
I'm with Bryan on emmure
the Slint record is Spiderland
Yup.
And the best film about Louisville (and how to pronounce it) is Elizabethtown.
came out in 91 too not 1996 lol
Literally the best band on the planet
Knocked Loose' next album will shake the history of metal. Mark my words. ~Ethan Sams, February 3rd Wednesday 2021 at 1:19 PM mt. Time USA
HAHAHAHA
Fucking interviewer doesn't know Spiderland. Anyway, best set at Furnace Fest by far.
You could've run this video through a compressor lol
😆😆
you cant ask weed water or wine to 2 straight edge dudes
Does water mean both?
Just got the whole discography on vinyl
this shit is unbearable to watch but peace to knocked loose
cody ko??????
what's up with the interviewer?
anyone remember sleepwell apperatus?
Did Bryans blinking got better?
*get
Oh dude I never noticed he blinked a lot in the past 😭
Buy music
they seem so lovely
jesus christ the audio of this video is a roller coaster
Robert Johnson! That’s a big thumbs up from me.
❤️
Lol the patience they had with this dude through the first two question's
Lol I feel like he actually did pretty good. Most of these interviewers are super cringe bro. This guy actually seems to listen and ask good follow ups. Just my take
who tf mixed this
Mickey mouse.
"Loo-vull"
I see nothing wrong with this
@@broken_drum_stick1233 just sounds like a really funny and lazy way to pronounce it. But I'm a Texan, so I know everyone laughs at our accents too. Lol
@@isaiahkaulaity9467 yeah everyone from Louisville pronounces it like that. Its a good way to spot whose actually from Louisville
All I know is I’m a hardcore fan from way back and I wouldn’t consider Knocked Loose hardcore. Good damn music though
More like metal-hardcore
Modern hardcore is really just metal
@@CDCrest but metal doesn't have breakdowns and grooves like all this bands have , that's the Hardcore soul right there
