Alright so this was the best video I have found. I was a launch day player who has not played since 2013. I think this new season thing is awesome, obviously I haven’t played in a minute so there are a ton of changes since I left. I have been loving Necromancer but my main was always MONK. This is a great guide thank you! I am going to crush the objectives on a new character
Thank you so much for this explanation 😭 My sister and I played 100s of hours on ps3 back in college, before reaper of souls was released, and then quit after some guy gave us modded gear that made the game stop being fun. Trying to figure out all the new stuff has been overwhelming to say the least. This video was super helpful 💖
I appreciate learning about what happens to a seasonal character's paragon points. There was some disparity between my seasonal and non-seasonal characters.
I watched and I still don't understand what a season is. It's a competition to get to the top of what? Leaderboard for doing what? I understand you start a new character and get rewards, but besides that I don't get it. Is it a new story being told? Different bosses, levels and dialog or something? Or do you play through the same game, same story, levels and bosses, with just a new character and reward opportunities?
This is incorrect. While it's fine to have a secondary character seasonal section, new users should 'not' start on seasonal. You should start on default. The default is the real full version of the campaign without any sort of embellishments/gimmicks. You're just playing the actual game. There is zero reason to do any Adventure or Rift if simply playing through the game. Maybe use a secondary for season is fine.
Why not make it seasonal so u have access to all of that content once you finish campaign tho? At the end of the season you still get to keep it, so the only difference is if you don’t choose seasonal you won’t have access unless you rebirth and restart.
You can play the story as a seasonal character if that’s important for you. You will be in adventure mode after anyway considering the campaign isn’t that long. “Default” mode locks your out of adventure until your first completion of the campaign. Why limit your options if you start playing during a season.
I just wanted to say thank you very much for your breakdown. I have been trying to find out how you unlock the armor sets but I’m confused because there’s a whole bunch of random achievements you need to achieve each act and I didn’t know if you had to achieve these ridiculous radical, insane achievements, in order to get the pieces or if you just need to beat each act according to you, I think it’s just beat each act.
Two questions: 1.When playing a seasonal character, at what point do you get another stash tab? It wasn't mentioned as a reward in this video. 2. If my stash is full in my non-seasonal game, and they "mail" my seasonal stuff to my non-seasonal once the season ends, where does that seasonal stuff go? Does it just stay in my mailbox until I add it to my non-seasonal stash? Will it all just fall to the ground the first time I open my mailbox in non-seasonal? Thanks!
Same I was a launch day player I trucked through the game with 3 characters before the auction house opened back in like 2013 haven’t played since. Seasons are mad confusing
God damn dont know how many videos i had to watch just for someone to say you need to go adventure mode or you dont get sets in seasons. Literally zero point in playing season without adventure mode. Dont make that mistake guys, you need to play it for rewards.
Wait is that what happened to me? I made a seasonal character, and started the season or so I thought, it ended up just being the regular story again and I was very confused and just went back to my non season character to continue the story.
So is it purely cosmetic only for seasonal? Im goin to be playing solo offline mostly but i did see a solo seasonal mode. Is there any legendary gear in a season that you cant get in a non season?
Thank you so much for this video bro. I played away back in 2012/13 then didn’t have a gaming pc untill recently. I was so lost with the seasons etc 👍🏼
get a pl, get some haedrig gifts done and boom bam start a starter seasonal build with that build and then switch to a better one. start farming and then get some primals later on. (brief objective ig) get paragons too
Hey quick question, I just started playing this week and started as a necromancer and would like to main him. Therefore I’m wondering if I can pick a new character for the season and complete all the challenges then claim the reward with a new seasonal necromancer. Or do you only get the reward with the character you start off with and complete the challenges with? Like do all seasonal characters share the same level so I can open the gift items with a different character than the one I played?
Im new and english is not my first language. If i understand correctly,. After i hit 70 and the season ends. Whould i do a rebirth? Or just keep playing the game ?
how do you use the set item gear that you achieved when finishing the first 4 chapters in this season 25 ? where can you find them and use it on your character ?
I haven’t even finished watching this but it’s the most helpful video I’ve seen on Diablo 3! I was struggling to understand how seasonal and non seasonal work and this is the best explanation I’ve seen! Thank you so much! I did subscribe to your channel. I’m assuming you use a pc. I’m playing on a PS4. Hopefully, it won’t be too different.
Big questions: 1) beat 4 chapters, when do I get my crusader gear 2) beating 4 chapters do all my classes get the set armor or do I have to run a season character for each?
If i have a lv 30 necromancer NS that i stopped playing and i have Seasonal wizard lv 300 paragon. At the end of the season will the paragon lv go to my necromancer or will it stay on my wizard since he is going to be non seasonal ??
I just started. I guess I'll do seasonal although I'm still not sure what that means. One thing I know is this game is way too easy. Im a necromancer with skeletons and they just run through everything while i sit back and collect the bonuses and throw spikes. Does it get harder?
Just started with a season character from zero in adventure mode. Will I find cool weaponry while playing the seasons as opposed to playing the normal version???
So I have always been a hardcore player, but my current internet situation is spotty at best. Ping can go through the roof at a moments notice so I started season 26 this week with a softcore character. But master difficulty is locked. Do I have to go through the whole campaign again or can I do something different to unlock master. Additionally if I hit level 60 without going through campaign will that just fix everything as well?
Hi, thanks for this. I am so rusty. When a season ends does a hardcore character become a normal one? I have a bloodnova necro with the inarius set. I want to play on harder difficulty like I used to but I cherish the character too much to lose now. I had reached lvl 70 paragon 105. Not great but great for me.
I have a question I can't find an answer to. I have been playing my season mode and killed Diablo, now after Death. I just recently saw adventure mode and was wondering if it's possible to go back and forth between the 2 modes without messing up my seasonal character or should I just finish the season as I started it before going to adventure?
Long time ps4 player, when I heard they were gonna recycle the seasons I figured this was a good chance to give'en a try and get those kewl cosmetics One question I have is when you rebirth a char do you/can you choose a new class? Console only has so many char slots so a dedicated season char that I can keep rebirthing w different classes would be ideal
Necro is easiest by far. Just level a gem of ease as high as possible socket it into a weapon, then self power level then use blood shards to farm the necro set from kadala then that journey objective is toast.
Thanks, it explained a lot but I'm still kinda lost. Just beat the game 1st time (wizard). Gave me the option to keep playing so I can do bounty ect. Don't think it's a seasonal but I thought about doing it since 24 just started..any suggestions on how to get a good start/not burn myself out just grinding?
Just do what's fun for you. You're going to get Paragon levels no matter what you do. Gear drops from everything - and if you're on adventure mode, you can tinker with the difficulty level to get better gear, experience and coin. Personally, I do a character to level 70 and then put the game down for a week or two. Then I pick it up again with another character. Variety prevents burnout and Diablo III is steeped in variety. Lastly, nothing is fun 10,000 times. You hang it up once it feels like a grind to you. :)
You don't have to go down the rabbit hole of gems, gear sets, and getting to Torment XVI or doing a Greater Rift to have fun at this game. Jake's channel contains expert advice - a lot of it doesn't apply so much as I just take each character through the campaign and then to level 70 in the adventure mode. Jake's seasonal loop is likely different than yours. :)
@@John_IIyeah I took a break after leveling all classes & being maxed at gr100s. Had issues figuring out what gear, stats and all that so I took a break from the grind and started searching for groups. I'd like to continue further but it's now just grinding & I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for so a break was needed. Hopefully I'll finish the season strong but not stressing over it
What does season mode provide to justify staring with no stats is it challenging to start over in season yes but pointless nither is the rewards worth it some money and level stats would make this better more so with better rewards i played several area's of this mode shure there was more to do but i did that and then some came out with nothing if your new to this game go play this mode but if your like me who went through several efforts to make a strong character and be happy with it stay away with season it could be a good mode if you had as i said with some stats i'm not shure how much this mode has i nthe long run but what i have done seen and not yet get not as fun.
Returning player here. I just rolled a non seasonal Necro and got him to 38. If I create a seasonal character, does the Necro gain the XP of the seasonal character, in spite of the fact that I haven't hit paragon?
sounds like seasons is something they came out with to keep you grinding 5+ years on the same old game. I dare you to play any modern game and just be ok with starting from 0 every season.
That helped. I just started playing again after several years off.
Welcome back!
Same I played on the ps3 and started playing today
Yup just hopped back on last week!
Do your old characters transfer over? I took a while off and my toons are not there.
Alright so this was the best video I have found. I was a launch day player who has not played since 2013. This is awesome I back on D3 after watching the D4 trailer after 6 years
Same here man. Unfortunately I'm playing by myself all the time though.. not nearly as much fun as playing with a bunch of pple
As a returning player who hasn't played since the vanilla game your guides have been super helpful, Thank you sir!
Glad to help!

I started diablo this week, this was really helpful. Thanx!
Thank you for this. I never knew how these worked. This was a huge help.
VERY helpful video, I Was trying to get some info on seasons and this answered it perfectly! Thanks!

Been running around like a chicken, with my head cut off. Well explained, and simple. Thanks man.

Ok, so if we play season, do we get to keep any of the gear at the end?
Yes
thanks for the guide man, really helpful!
Glad it helped!

Thank you this helped so much. I played on Xbox one a few years ago. My coworker talked me into getting it on pc.
Don’t you have to do bounty’s and craft weapons and gems in each chapter to get the rewards?
What does the "rebirth" and "rebirth solo" do?
Love the content. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Thank you. I just started a new wizard for season 22 and this was off great help

I’ve got a switch lite coming for Christmas and D:EC is the first game I’m buying on it
wait so i’m completely new, is it best for me to make a seasonal?
Only if your trying to grind and get gear and levels right away. If your brand new enjoy the campaign and story 🥰🥰
get a pl, get some haedrig gifts done and boom bam start a starter seasonal build with that build and then switch to a better one. start farming and then get some primals later on. (brief objective ig) get paragons too
You can enjoy the campaign and story AS a seasonal character. Your stuff eventually becomes non-seasonal anyway.
Thanks, this was a big help. I wasnt sure what I should be doing.

When you feel it's too easy and kill everything in less than 5 seconds

You can switch, also you can play adventure from the start of the season.
How do I play a challenge rift without beating the game??
So im confused ive been through all these videos and they rather confusing. How do i do seasonal.

Not very beginner friendly explanation tbh
please speak up or turn up your microphone volume. i have headphones on and i can barely hear what you’re saying dude.
