We did that cruise in May, the other way. We left Civitavecchia and ended in Ravenna. It was our second time on the Constellation, and we loved the ship. We did the water taxi in 2023 from the airport, we really enjoyed that too.

Hello Terri, thank you for watching and leaving your comments. Patti and I enjoyed the Constellation as well even though we prefer the Edge class ships. We had such a wonderful time in Italy, I know that we’ll be back. I hope you keep watching as I post the rest of the trip and also subscribe to the channel. I’d be interested to know if you did anything different in the ports that we missed. I just learned of a historic opera house in Venice that we missed! I guess that we’ll have to go back again. Thanks again!

Hello, I am a new subscriber after a recommendation from A Life in Parks. What a great review of this fabulous trip, your itinerary was awesome, you visited so many beautiful places. Venice is a very special city isn't it. You got a fab view from the plane. You were so lucky with the crowd levels during your trip. A great view of a beautiful city - Nettie.

Hello Nettie! Thank you for subscribing and leaving such a nice comment. We do love Venice and what is amazing is that there are so many hidden gems and special places that you could visit for a month and do something different. I'll be working on posting the rest of the trip so look for some upcoming alerts. A Life in the Parks is a great TH-cam channel and I had the pleasure of meeting them while we were in Southampton England this past summer. Thanks again Ray!

Hi! Did you need any visa for any of these places? We're taking this cruise too, and we're traveling from USA.

Hello Awilda, thank you for watching and also leaving a comment. I'd like to ivite you to subscribe to my TH-cam channel Port of Indecision so you don't miss out on any of our adventures.
We took this trip in September of 2024 and did not need any VISAs for the cruise or any of the countries we visited. In 2025 the European Union is going to implement a system called ETIAS which stands for European Travel Information Authorization System, but it is not scheduled to be launched until mid - 2025. The description of the system is:
ETIAS travel authorisation is an entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals travelling to any of these 30 European countries. It is linked to a traveller’s passport. It is valid for up to three years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. If you get a new passport, you need to get a new ETIAS travel authorisation.
With a valid ETIAS travel authorisation, you can enter the territory of these European countries as often as you want for short-term stays - normally for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. However, it does not guarantee entry. When you arrive, a border guard will ask to see your passport and other documents and verify that you meet the entry conditions. I hope this helps you and safe travels.
