This is so cool! I grew up playing Halo and listening John Mayer a LOT (my favorite artist in my youth)! It’s awesome to hear this and know it’s him playing for your favorite game. His blues are so deep; there at the end you can tell he wants to rock out because of how emotional that final blues riff was. I can see this “sound” being used in ODST. Who knows maybe it’s part of the glyphs Easter Egg and we’ll never know.
Brothers in Arms epilogue section is such a mellow sounding piece. I love every type of instrumentation in the song; I enjoy listening to all the different type of instruments individually 3:53 7:25 7:52 9:50
I have the other Halo related videos unlisted in the interest of preservation, however because one was more of a presentation and the other (Bungie Home Movies) directly have other Bungie staff, friends and family that I do not know and probably may not be able to get their permission, I'm not sure if they should be published. If you can contact me directly I can discuss further tho. Cheers! I'm trying to track down the Myth related videos too but haven't found them all yet. Luckily more than a few people have archived bits and pieces if not the entirety of Marty's channel, so mirrors may be available at places like archive.org and such.
