Perfecting Forward Facing Sonar for Bass Fishing

- During the winter months rock piles can be a great cover to catch bass on. Rocks tend to hold eat and provide life for forage that bass will prey on. In this video today I am going to show you what rock piles look like on the Garmin Livescope. I will go through a few baits and how they look. I also end up catching a few bass as well. I made this video to help you become a better angler with your forward facing sonar!

FFS is a blast to use! So much fun! It’s taught me so much about fish behavior, lure running depths,they don’t always run as deep as they are advertised at. You can burn a day fishing and never catch a fish and still have a good time. Seeing how they react and it can be frustrating but still be fun. I’m 62 and bought Active Target 2 years ago and it’s enhanced my enjoyment on the water. I’m not great with it but when you watch one eat your bait it’s so much fun.

Owned FFS for a year now. I need to learn to use this tool. I’d say I’ve spent less than 30 hours with it. This helps me a ton with just the visual of what I need to be looking for/at. 🍻🍿🎣🍀
Thats great! The more time you put in the more you will get better at it. I will continue to do videos with FFS emphasis. They seem to be getting good feedback

I love your videos man, just pure fishing talk and learning, no BS!! Have you made a video of your livescope setup and settings by chance?
I have not done this and wont due to I do on the water electronic lessons. I get in peoples boat go through the whole process with settings. I have learned every transducer is different and unit. So one setting cant be the same. I change my daily on the water too.

Thanks for sharing. I played video games a lil bit when I was young. I remember winning the Heisman trophy over 20 times in NCAA Football.... I can not just put the livescope in the water and catch 20 double digit size fish
