I feel like there should be an opposite counterpart to the Peter Pan complex. People who insist that you MUST give up anything that makes you joyful or comfortable in order to seem “more adult,” suggesting that they have come to associate adulthood with putting yourself through unnecessary misery in order to seem more grown-up. This likely stems from the subject projecting their own insecurities about being “Mature Enough” onto the people around em.
You're describing most parents. 99.9 of parents tell their kids they're "too old" for whatever hobby/interest & that that they "need to grow up, get a job". My own parents forced me to grow up by adding extra chores and making me go to college. All parents think being grumpy means being mature because they're grumpy and think that's just part of being an adult. Plus misery loves company so they don't want to feel alone.

The reason Peter Pan Complex and the Cinderella Complex can't exist together is because no man wants a woman who acts like a child.
Also a Cinderella story is basically impossible in this economy.
Trust me friend, it goes both ways; no woman wants a man who acts like a kid either.
The trouble is, a lot of men _do_ act like kids.
@cherryb893 don't I know it😒🙄
I kinda have Peter Pan Complex, but I’m autistic and it’s part of my disability
Have you considered to un-autistic yourself?
I might have every problem here besides the first one (Oedipus)
Bah, Mountain Dew and Pokemon debates sounds like a HELLA good birthday
Best channel on here 💪
9:19 this is basically all those people that are like “I’m the therapist friend 😔💔🥀⛓🖤”
HELPPPP THIS IS SO REAL BAHAHAHAHAHA
This just means you’re the person the uses the therapist friend
@pcn545 and what made you assume that?
@@incognitospaghet1452 because the toxic ones that pretend like therapist friends don’t exist, tend to be the ones that use them the most
@@pcn545
Now, could this hostility towards me be a result of your experience? Have you categorized yourself as the therapist of your friend group?
If so, I know that one can feel obligated to support their friends, however you are not responsible for everyone’s happiness nor their comfort 100% of the time. Perhaps allow some space to feel that you are allowed to set boundaries and protect your mental health. Perhaps, in the cases where your boundaries are violated you can remove yourself from the situation? Or more importantly their lives? Because people whom violate your boundaries after you’ve already told them consistently and repeatedly are more than likely to do it again. Now then happy holidays, I hope you are staying safe ^-^
Also I don’t vent to anyone, ever. So on that note I don’t have a “therapist friend”. Which I’m very happy to not have, they sound incredibly judgmental and I would hate to confide in a person that secretly hates me and talks about how much they hate me for trusting them behind my back . ^-^
12:01 life will feel like * Opera GX ad* 🗿
i got a christmas ad lol
Thank you for showing what ekbom syndrome is in a video if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be able to get help for it:)
Welp, guess I have the Medusa Complex.
Hey I’m going to ask you to chill abt the Martyr Complex because you’ve completely shattered my personal reality and now I’m questioning my sanity
Now that you’re self aware, better yourself. Don’t just acknowledge that you have it, and then do nothing about it. Realizing and accepting that you have this complex, is already the first hard step, now do the hardest part and change it.
I just realised I have Peter Pan complex minus the running away from responsibilities and serious relationships.
The Peter Pan complex is me fr
Mike seems like a cool dude
is this how i find out i actually have a peter pan complex :(
same dude and i feel pathetic 🥲
Omg I’m a martyr complex. Every single little individual thing that entire section from start to end described everything about me.
Ughhhhhhh.
What would be the complex of the person who solves everyone else's problems, like the psychologist friend, but avoids their own because they don't know how to deal with their own problems?
...Was the symbol for the Don Wan complex the Nostalgia critic?!😮
Okay so I have a Medusa complex. Great!
God Complex sounds to me to be a narcissist.
They're the same thing anyways
God complex is a narcissist to another level, I guess.
Hi, Cinderella complex here.. please draw my gown better next time.. 💗
The Jonah one is funny because that isn't why Jonah ran away 😂. He thought the people of Ninevah were too far gone and not worth the strain because they'd surely never change. It wasn't a fear of success, it was fear of God's plan, of what he thought was wasted effort and wasted time.
Fun fact: the way Freud described the Oedipus complex was way worse than you think, Sigmund Freud was a weirdo
The evaluator should make a video about Aromantic Asexaul Aro Ace
Yes yep
Nah
He has bot
I think he already did that
he did
10:32 Steven Universe Future: Steven's here to help!
He strikes me more as having a Martyr Complex.
HOW THE HELL DID I GOR FROM AN INFERIORITY COMPLEX TO A SAVIOR COMPLEX-
Maybe the latter is how you cope with the previous?
Went into the video not knowing half of these, found out I might have Jonah, martyr, and Don Juan complex
I have the complex that combines all complexes
I got both Peter Pan and Jonah complex.
I grew up overprotected by my parents. I was also a "gifted child" and my parents, teachers and other community members expected a lot from me. I'm scared of succeeding because it feels like a huge burden
Electra complex is Oedipus complex for girls
Hi Evaluator 👋 i like your vids. ALSO I BET NO ONE HAD WATCHED ALL OF THIS VID YET AYAYAYGAVSHDHDH-
I definitely have Jonah complex-
Good job
Nailed it man
I cannot emphasise how much i despise people with a god complex
How I feel like I play violin, and how I feel sometimes 2:41
Oh, I thought the madusa complexe would be the other way around.
as someone who formerly had a martyr complex: I WAS FUCKING *OBNOXIOUS*
Poor Cindy, the fact is that the complex named after her is the opposite of who she is is funny. With Cinderella 2 and 3 we can see other facets of Cinderella, Charming, and the King. It was only sheer luck that the fairy godmother found her that faithful night
