6:05 he could’ve given Howard Griffith a td but I don’t blame him for wanting to run it in. Either risk an incompletion or pay it safe. Elway would later make it up to Howard Griffith in 🏈🏆 XXXIII
I was an international student in Norman, Oklahoma. Rooting for the Broncos because Elway had lost several SBs. The local Walmart had GB headbands, but not Broncos headbands, so I bought a GB one. The following day I was being told - “Your team lost”, because people were looking at the headband, not knowing who I had actually wanted to win. 😊
I bet the entirety of the AFC erupted with euphoria when Mobley knocked that ball down on 4th and 6. Didn’t matter who your team was, seeing that 13 year streak of total and complete domination by the NFC in Super Bowl competition end was surely something to witness.
The Broncos didn't get a single yard rushing or get a single first down in the 2nd quarter when Davis was out. I can't help but wonder how this game would have been different had Davis not got that migraine. Perhaps a 14 point victory for Denver.
What a great day that was. I knew waking up it was Denver’s day. I remember not even stressing the second quarter. I remee we meet grilling during the second and eating during halftime. When elway threw that pick I got worried, we needed 3 there no matter what. But td took over and farce missed a wide open we going to his security blanket. The next year was the best. But that win was by far was the best win. I wonder what happens if elway says let’s go for 3. Does td blow out his knee? Do we play the rams in the sb? That team was still very much intact.
Do you have a copy of the XXXI highlight video? Packers over Patriots? I see someone else uploaded it but their video quality is very poor. Yours are much crisper and HD quality.
these are really nice to have available on TH-cam. I have the first 40 on DVD but 21 through 40 don't have the credits included. Nice to see the "complete" highlight films on this channel.
8:50 Eugene Robinson trying to fire up his defensive teammates by telling them to pretend like they were playing the then worst team in the NFL will forever be a hilarious highlight. Especially seeing as it didn't work and the Broncos upset the Packers that game 🤣
Andy Reid: 1996 Packers Asst. Coach - Win Super Bowl -> 1997 Packers Asst. Coach - Lose Super Bowl 2019 Chiefs Head Coach - Win Super Bowl -> 2020 Chiefs Head Coach - Lose Super Bowl 2022 Chiefs Head Coach - Win Super Bowl -> 2023 Chiefs Head Coach - Lose Super Bowl?
This was one of the last years of actual real NFL football. The NFL died when the Patriots got good when you got a team that wasn’t even good winning all those Super Bowls Patriots winning that good team in that that’s when the air of parody kicked in where nobody’s really that good even though the Patriots won they were winning by field goals. There were no great teams. This bronco team was borderline historically great but they won the back-to-back team, but after that everybody that one was just another team nobody historically greatCowboys were the last truly ethically great team packer team would’ve been. They won this game. They were on their way to be in one of the historically great team that they won this game.
I still get chills watching replace decades later. Awesome day.

The Elway helicopter was the play of this epic Super Bowl.😊

This was one of the best super bowls EVER!
Steve Atwater was hitting everything and was the real mvp of this game. He set the tone.
Facts bro.
This highlight video was the first DVD I ever saw, it was being played at a Circuit City and I was in awe.
Momento glorioso, espere desde el 85 por ver triunfar a Denver y ese momento fue inolvidable para mí y para todos los Denver fans

I think most people were more focused on how John Elway finally won the big game after all those years of losing.
Yeah, as a Broncos fan, the only streak we were worried about was the O fer....
No the AFC WEST WASNT apparently 🤷♀️
Yeah sorry, the AFC West was not rooting for Denver.
@@Eli-ss9gj Even if it meant 2 more years of that ridiculous winning streak by the NFC in the Super Bowl?
“This team is not better than us! They’re not even good!” Ohhhhh yes they were!
and ironically he got traded to the falcons who lost to that same team 1 year later

I bet a lot of Bears fans enjoyed this Super Bowl.

He said, don’t worry about seeing just get your ass in there 😂😂😂
No 41 talked mad smack. Said broncos were "Indianapolis colts" and "were not event good". Smh. Never disrespect your opponent
What's funnier is the colts were the worst team that year and they got their first win against the Packers that year.

He does have the video but his upload of it got taken down due to copyright issues.
Ive been looking for that myself I remember that onside kick and can't find it anywhere.

The colts were the worst team that year. Funny thing Colts got their first win against the Packers. Hahaha
