More info on how to get them out. Good video. The small yellow bumpers you can still get from GM #10386222 $16ea. They are just held in by some “grab tabs”. Just rip them out with a screw driver from the side. For the air springs, there is a button on the TOP of them that you have to push 9right at rear side of spring in turn slots) so that they will turn counter clockwise. You usually can turn them enough that it will grab in the DOWN position. Drill a hole in the FLAT plate of the air coil at the TOP. Use that hole to hit long flathead screwdriver & hammer to turn it. Disconnect the lines is hard to explain but pretend that the line(s) are going into a pencil eraser & that you have to flatten the eraser INTO THE PENCIL WHILE PULLING ON THE LINE & NOT squeezing the line (not squeezing the eraser from its sides but push the eraser flat for clarification). With the “eraser” compressed the plastic tube will pull right out unless you are holding it with the pliers. Good design but you would never know how to release it until you have done it. If pump not doing anything make sure orange wire has 12.4 volts with key on at large harness if you pump not working. Don’t replace the air coils till you know the air pump is broken or that you don’t have a wire problem.
dig it terry !! little bit of everything on the channel! couldnt of came at a better time! i know when i got out in the morning mine sits low in the ass end then hit the key i hear the pump come on and good to go however went out the other day to go somewhere and now the pump isnt coming on good one day bad the next? tho really i havent drove it in 2 weeks been sick and injured i like the air bag system rides nice man tho coil would be a lot easier to deal with lol fuses to check ? i went in the back and flipped the switch and no pump it just weird that it would work and then not thanks terry dig the ass its a bad ass ride!!
sorry your not feeling well brotha juiced.. i was going through the same thing with the airbag,.. it was a hard sell and im glad i swapped it out.. there is a fuse you can remove but i just simply turn the pump off. let me know if you have any questions partner..
Hey bro I own the same type of truck a 2007 trailblazer ss and since I did the all round drop kit my truck never drop the same it looks much better lowered but the drive feel is awful I went back to my bilstein shocks and kept just only the lowered springs front and back

thats why i but the coils in, i didnt want to repair the entire system chasing demons.. the ride is great. i was against taking the airbags out, i loved them.. but now i wish ive done it sooner.. make the car tight and comfortable.. i will be doing the lower and upper rear soon.. i got alot more clips coming for the TBSS stay tuned brotha rob..

Hey terry I’m doing this swap on my ss soon and was wondering if any adjustments need to be done to the compressor once the bags are out so it won’t come on on its own but in a way that I can use it manually
whats good brotha Victor.. you could pull out the fuse or you can take the entire compressor out of the truck.. i will be doing a video that shows how to remove the airbag compressor.. stay tuned.. lol
There are videos out there that show how to rotate the height adjusters. Doing so will allow you to use the compressor for anything other than the bags.
HELP,,I have a 08 TBSS,,I put in a belltech conversation kit,,it worked great BUT I have a large speaker system and after time my truck is sagging,,I need a more powerful spring and I need to know how tall the spring should be? I ordered a kit from rock Auto it was way to high I couldn't even get the spring in,they returned it no problem.I really don't want to be lowered my speaker box lowers it anyway,,anybody got any ideas? how heavy is your speaker box to lower the back like that? you can always get helper bags that go in the springs. keep me posted.. can get a more aggressive spring rate for the back?

Nooooo don't go with springs, not same ride and you can't adjust your ride and height like you can with airbags. I replaced the airbags and there were cheaper than the springs

I just recently canceld out the airbag suspension and put regular shocks. Now it looks too tall, ima have to put adjustable coils

Hey bro I own the same type of truck a 2007 trailblazer ss and since I did the all round drop kit my truck never drop the same it looks much better lowered but the drive feel is awful I went back to my bilstein shocks and kept just only the lowered springs front and back

yes, without them you will get spring noise.

ahhhh i see,, when you remove the air bag it will be clear.. the place where the bag attaches on the to, the coil spring fits over it..
So how did it look after the installation?

thats yellow thing on the spring is the bump stop.. im using a rubber hose on the ends of the springs in the rear.

Did u buy new rubber spring isolators? Or did the SS have some already from the airbags?
they never made isolators for the TBSS. you could either make your own or try getting finding a pair that will fit.
