    Not sure if you can assist, but can a patient get enterococcus faecalis through the blood and it can cause renal and liver failure? Keeping in mind that the strain is highly resistant to antbiotics.

      It caused infective endocarditis in my brother. It had also made some damage to kidneys. He had creatinine level of 2.9 (normal 0.8-1.2), when he was hospitilized. But his liver markers was all ok, not affacted at all. He had entrococcus faecalis.

      @@AVAM.. I forgot to mention that he was sepsis at the time. So that probably also caused it.
