My mom did an amazing job being a caregiver for me during my time with cirrhosis of the liver. 10/17/2022 The University of Michigan Medicine and the gift of live blessed me with a second chance at life.❤

My husband had end stage liver disease. I took care of him vigilantly for 7 years. He was extremely dangerous to himself with propensity towards encephalopathy.
It takes commitment to properly care for someone with ESLD. They are a danger to themselves and don't often cooperate.

Greetings from another Michelle Moore! My MIL is in this exact position. I have been caringn for her for over a year with the last 2 months she has gone downhill fast. Always a manipulative liar, she has now crossed into a place where she is toxic and is cutting her own nose off to spite her face. It has become an impossible challenge to help her. It is so nice to see that I am not alone in my anger and frustration. Ps, still shaking my head that of all the caregiving videos on cirrosis I pick the one that michelle moore has already been there done that and made it through to the other side. Thank you!

My husband has just been diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis and I'm his caregiver. It gives me hope your husband lived 7 years because according to doctors he only has a year or two. I pray I have 7 more years with him. He's only 45 and we've been together since we were 18 years old. I dont know how to do life without him. My heart doesnt beat without him, hes all ive ever know. We also have a 3 year old that is going to be crushed when he passes and I fear that day for her. To say I'm terrified of the future is an understatement. God help us because I don't know if I'm gonna survive losing him.

I found out recently that I have cirrhosis. I’m 35 years old. I’m thinking of not having treatment. I have absolutely nothing to live for. I’m guessing its my way out.

No please dear friend, do not give up. I have a very close friend at the hospital for the past 7 plus months, stage 4 cirrhosis I believe, liver and kidneys not working, damage to the heart, hemodialysis every second day, current dealing with issues removing enough fluid out of her stomach, legs etc due to lowering blood pressure. She is a Warrior, BY GOD I have never seen anyone this strong and fighting for her life daily. She will go through this somehow and I believe that so strongly although currently she is quite confused due to toxins accumulated in her brain from the liver and kidneys 😢. Get the treatment, friend ❤

There not always right ,this is my story. They told me my liver was toxic and I said no it's not. I sauteed it with some onions and mushrooms, delishous.🤔
