Im 50 years old. Always have shaved. No one in my family has a beard to my knowledge. Its about 5 weeks into this. Totally different feeling. Im hoping for the best.

I had a patchy mess until I was 30. Then it started filling in pretty good. Still not the thickest beard but I do have decent coverage.
I was that guy who had a huge beard at 16. I’m now 21 and I don’t think I have a single patch 😂. Glad to see you’re giving it another go victor
I have a full beard and I'm 18 about to turn 19 Mine started growing when I was 13 but I wasn't so different 90% of guys in my school had the same amount of facial hair as I do lol... I'm middle eastern btw

Took me until my mid 20s to grow a beard. I barely had any facial hair but I was always shaving and fresh faced. Wasn't until I got really depressed and didn't shave for a week that I noticed I actually had a severe growth. Kept letting it grow and now I have a full beard. Some are just late bloomers.

I love watching these videos. My Dad had a beautiful mustache all my life. I can remember watching him groom it as a little girl. As he got older and had a stroke he could no longer take care of the grooming I did it for him and so did my Mom. He was beautiful even when he passed away and my mother took great pride in his grooming. It’s comforting to watch these grooming videos because it reminds me of him a little....I guess 🤷🏽♀️🙏🏽❤️

The whiskers, will continue come. What an already handsome man, at 21! It's obvious (even seated) that you're tall, muscular, and have some of the best, of both parents traits...I would be proud, of what you are! As a father, you'll just have to trust that you're treasured more than dad can convey, and beyond what you could understand. This is a great video, lots of love here. God bless you both!

Patience! Grow the beard no matter what the early stage looks. We all have different genes for so much variety. I’m at three months and still hoping for more hair on cheek area, it’s there but taking a while.

Age plays a big role when it comes to beard growth. I know a guy who couldn't grow anything up until the age of 26. Now he has a quite dense beard. He's 30 something
Beards are different for each individual person..some are late bloomers like myself..I'm 29 and I can grow a full great moustache..it grows back within 3days after shaving (comes from my dad)..and also a solid soul patch but my goatee and sides are still thin and patchy..but I ain't giving up..
Good video Greg and Victor. I was 24 when growing my first beard and I did 10 weeks. Then shaved. I tried again when I was 26 and since then I have had many different lengths of beards. Good luck on your growing when you decide to try again. Like a fine wine or liquor, beards get better with age.

I'm 26 and I tried a couple times a few years ago and ended up quitting early. I started again in March it's now July and what do you know! The patches are filling in, the sideburns are now connected, and all I've been doing is basic maintenance and allowing the new hairs to catch up since they seem to grow and spread out across my face at different rates. It's taking me a very very long time but I am confident it will eventually be where I want it to be. Do not underestimate how long it could potentially take and if you really want one tough it out. I'm glad I did

I grew my first beard over the Xmas holidays and have looked back since. It’s great. I love it and everyone I know loves it. Can’t Imagine now looking at my face without it. I do keep it trimmed however
Victor will have a full thick beard by 25. I could not grow a mustache until I was 28, both sides of my family have really good beard genetics. I am a super late bloomer though which has sucked. I grow good facial hair now except I still do not have much neck hair. I did not get the sides and goatee until I was well into my 30's.

This is often a blessing in disguise. Don't know if this is just a coincidence or not, but I've noticed that alot of the guys from high school/college that could grow thick full beards early on seem to be drastically going bald now and looking older than they are.
I have good coverage on my face but it isn't dense like Greg's here. Both my brother (22) and father have much denser facial hair (well dad just keeps a moustache but can grow a heavy beard) and alot of chest/body hair....yet my dad has the full horseshoe head and brother is certainly on his way. Meanwhile at 26, I have a thinner beard and no body hair but my hair hasn't receded or thinned a bit....I'd much have what I have than be in their situation.
The hard part is being patient enough to let it grow

Those videos would definitely get PLENTY views. I've used minoxidil and went from having a couple of chin hairs to a full beard within a year

I see many young men trying to grow a beard and they are just not ready, it's nice that you and your son give great advice. Keep up the great videos
Oh yeah, we will never force a guy to grow out if his beard if he doesn't feel that it's working out. Our goal is to "inspire confidence through grooming", whether that be through growing a beard or not. Greg Berzinksy has a lot of great lessons like this one throughout the channel, and has actually spoken with his son about this subject before in an earlier video.

It’s a handsome look no doubt. I bet nine out of ten girls his age would describe his exact beard when asked what they prefer there boyfriends grow. That’s some stylish scruff.
My beard at about 16 to 17 looked relatively close to Jack's. It was definitely thinner than it is now. Now that I'm 27, I have a thick ass beard. Love being able groom it. My only issue is that mustache does not connect to my beard in the slightest. However, both my paternal grandfather and biological father did have this problem until their thirties. Can't wait to see how it looks then.
I tried growing my first beard at 20. Similar growth to Victor, but I could grow a moustache but it was very weak. 4 years later at 24, my moustache has filled in a lot more, and my overall density has improved. My moustache is still fairly weak, it only looks good 1/3 of an inch long. My dad can grow a great stache however.

If your dad can grow a great mustache then there’s a great chance so will you. It’s probably going to come in around your late 20s to early 30s. That was the case with me. Strong beard and weak mustache until late 20s.
Check for vellus hairs (tiny blonde hairs) in and around your stache. If you see those anywhere they will likely turn into think dark hairs in time.

My beard closed in at 25 and it looks pretty full now but my dad has a lot of facial hair and he said it wasn’t until he was 29 that it got really full don’t get discouraged and if your growing a beard it’s all about patients

I'm growing mine now. For the last 4 years, I have served in the Air Force, and had to shave every day. Now, I am being medically retired, so I'm going for it. I'm 30 now, and this is the first time I feel I have a chance at a real beard! My beard is now 4 weeks old, and we shall see what the month of November will bring!

Deneko Brown lol mine too.. but I kept trying and mine looked like Vic's.. once I turned 24 I tried growing it out for the winter and it was like I was a new person .. it overgrew. People don't even recognize me anymore because from 23 to 24 was as if I put on a fake beard after having patches for so long. I haven't shaved this year and boi.. the hair is about as long as an average index finger from knuckle to finger tip and the fullness of thickness of my beard is that of the guy as the the end of the video. Oh and my father couldn't grow any facial hair.

If your struggling to grow facial hair and it looks patchy. If you just let it grow for a few months without touching it. It gives all your hair a chance to grow out so it will create a more a even and fuller beard. Worked for me when I was 18

I'm one month in, after 30 years of shaving. The beard is looking better than it did at 22 (as I recall), and I'm set in a job with very little dress code, so I'm looking forward to just letting it run its course.

He is young. For a large portion of men a certain area of the beard won’t develop until much later usually. It develops in a sort of patchwork for many. For example, for one man the sideburns will develop at 18 but the mustache won’t develop until say, 28. Or perhaps another man may develop a full goatee at 21, but won’t develop much growth on their sides until 30. This “piecework” is very common and nothing to be ashamed of. Grow whatever you have at whatever stage you are. 👊
Theres no shame to not wanting a beard. i didn't grow mine out till i was well into my late 30's.

I've used minoxidil 5% foam with no side effects. I went from having a couple of chin hairs to a full beard within a year. I can guarantee that it would work for him. Do the research and consider it

I’m 32 and my beard just gets a little better each year, don’t stop. Many people mess w it too much in the beginning. Don’t shave for 2 months and then trim, repeat and get back with me in 6 months, if you don’t have a beard then just try minoxidil. If that doesn’t work, get a hair transplant: there is always a solution, but how far are you willing to go?

my facial hair started to have density good enough for a good looking beard after I turned 25.
Im 22 and my moustache and chin are very dense but sides are not filled, there is no growth on some spots and right side is better than left.. im praying to good every day those few empty spots start growing
It's amazing how different beard growth patterns for different people. Up until 20, I had nothing but a moustache and few hairs high on my cheeks. Now at 33 it is kind of full except for soul patch and chin not connecting, which is a bummer.

You have to take genes into consideration. I don't mean be rude by generalizing but your name implies south asian descent. I say that to mention that I have a lot of south asian friends that are unable to grow facial hair.
But it may just requiere time. Give it a month, don't touch anything and take it from there

It’s alrighty Vic, all I had at first was just killer sideburns as well, never had a good mustache really either and as time has gone on, at 24 my beard is the best it’s ever been and my mustache has gotten a lot better. Just give it time and be patient, your dad is a great example of patience, that man has a beard of the gods
