Pro tip. Divide $695 by your hourly rate. Now go spend that amount of time in Framer building something, watching free videos, and study premade templates. Boom your now better off than someone who just watched these videos.
From my point of view, Framer is good for building simple sites (portfolios and other things). It has interface that is similar to Figma. So it's relatively straightforward on recreating Figma designs in Framer. Less of a learning curve than Webflow. But also a lot simpler than Webflow. Still in its infancy. Webflow is still better for client work
This is my guest, but I think Framer is for your clients who need something really fast but its a less complex website. And, Webflow is for a more complexed website.
I enrolled in the Webflow masterclass as it has a steeper learning curve. It's also exploding in the sense that more and more clients are asking for it. Definitely no regrets and it's a great course. Framer is still in its infancy in terms of no-code environment but is going to gain serious ground. So this is a great way to be amongst the first to offer it. In my opinion, Webflow should be the first one and then move on to Framer.
Hello guys, Webflow is not going away and will most likely be the better choice for most projects, however, there will be a subset of audience that will prefer Framer. That is all.
Hi Guys, I registered in the course. All great. But I am stuck on my Navigation, how do you unfreeze Framer? How do you use components in the navigation bar? I am stuck since weeks now since my components disappear or the project just freezes. I am using complex components with variants. Can you jump in and help, please?
Yeah, you know what will help your growth? Just keep jumping from one tool to the next. Don’t master anything, don’t dig deeper, don’t try and understand the underlying principles. Just follow the fleeting trends. 👍👍👍
@@chaya973 in the right hands, WordPress is very capable. There’s a reason big businesses use it. In fact, in the right hands Notepad is very capable. But that requires learning and practicing your craft, ewww, scary…
Oh yeah, they're absolutely twisting your arm behind your back and forcing you to take the course with their foot on the back of your knee, right? Tech moves fast. Certain things are better, more efficient and provide easier ways to certain things. You can simultaneously learn two similar things at once. Webflow, Figma, Framer, Dora etc are all *very very* similar tools, each very capable and powerful to achieve many things; but they do also lack at doing certain things, thus, it's important for a person to know and be familiar with all of them - to be able to decide which tool is best for which project. You don't necessarily have to master every single software, you just should know enough to be able to navigate your way through it and figure things out as needed.
@@shabanabader2948 you’re absolutely right, that was exactly my point: being forced to buy the course. Thank you for mansplaining, I get confused sometimes.
no need for designers any more. Framer, canva and fiver (normal people who can afford to charge peanuts learning from people like you guys) will take over and real designers are spendable. No good news for real designers or developers.
that may be true for low end client work....... High value clients don't frequent places like fiverr. Additionally as a designer you cant get lost in the noise. Build your brand around your skills bring value and charge your worth!!!!

If you're already know Webflow, are there any advantages to learning Framer?
What is the primary advantage of Framer for clients?

If you are more of a Developer than a Designer then go with Webflow.
