Wanting Helios’ care, they wanted to make them proud but after they harsh words they became more determined but bitter towards the inner twins.
Soon they gotten what they wanted in the from of a golden flower hair pin, being regarded as no longer a “weed” was enough. To them.
After some turns of events and rash decisions, somethings went wrong and ended with Aphrodite’s loss of life.
During the process their golden hair pin broke in 2, originally they didn’t want ANYTHING to do with Helios and their past gifts… but they continue to wear the gold flower because someone gave it a new meaning. That someone is now gone.
Because of everything in the past Venus doesn’t associate themselves with Aphrodite, and despite’s the title. It brings memories of desperation for the LOVE(not ship) of helios. The Love they had for their life. LOVE of their dear moon

Venus actually tries not to make fun of Uranus’s name because they themselves don’t like their own name anymore
