Not really. It’s all about the amount of work and time they put in when making these practical effects and not the fact that are practical. Though at the time, when they made Aragog, CGI wasn’t where it is today ofc. And you still get some bad CG sometimes. But that’s almost always when they don’t have time or lack resources. That’s what happened on Black Panther. just look at Baby Yoda. When he is walking on the ground, it’s CGI, and it looks “practically” (eh? eh???) the same as the puppet. Only the smoothness of the movement gives it away a bit, and the less glassy eyes. And many still can’t tell that it was CG.
