You guys can say what you want about this game, I say it’s fucking awesome. Still playing it just finishing all the side quests before the main story. Love the open world feel. I can do whatever I want to whoever I want. The gore, the gunplay, the way bodies just go flying away🔥 the abilities too! Can you ask for more??
I wish there were more random events. If they did it like fallout rage to would be a 10/10 for me

Phenomenal gunplay. With gunplay this fun, I don't even care about rest of the game. Good enemy variants, too much toys and a frickin gore fest that motivates experimentation with weapons. 10/10 in my books
what's stopping me from playing this game is there's just 1 assault rifle :(

The only problem I have is that the shotgun is so much better than all the other guns. It's tempting to just use that the entire time.
Yea especially when ure playing rage on easy to hard difficulty, Walker is totally OP. I recently switched to Nightmare and the game has become more demanding; its hard to only use the shotgun to kill enemies since most of them are bullet sponges
@@kresna7493 it also renders the secondary fire of the shotgun (the concussive slug) completely useless, and is only guaranteed to launch the enemy after unloading 3-4 slugs into them, even if they don’t have any armor.
@@thecourticaljester9152 Agreed, in short, the difficulty differences are cheap; they only make the enemies hit harder and harder to knock. I'd really recommend anyone who has played Rage 2, enjoyed it, but still left dissatisfied, to try out Doom Eternal. I gotta say it has similiar gameplay mechanics but more demanding, difficulty differences actually impact enemies' movements and intelligence and less on their health.

When my buddy showed me the demo for Doom Eternal, I think I offended him by saying that it was just Rage 2 with more features. It's not a bad thing.

You should try Firestor Revolver / Grav-Darts (swap w/ Q if possible) :
stick flame shots - > prime grav darts - > grav-launch them - > SNAP
Bring fire to their friends.
Ejector seat followed by mid air missile targetting followed by slam makes so much satisfactory move. Add few granades to it and you will just love the mahem. Add rage to it, and mmmmmmhmmm

And to all the ppl comparing rage 2 with the recent far cry games:
These are totally different games.
Rage 2 is about pure rush, pulping enemies with ur weapons and bare hands, story be damned. Its there to move things along.
Far cry(recent titles starting with the awesome far cry 3) is more about story, the world the characters and such. Combat is with conventional weapons and not superpowers.
Differences are obvious.
Play whichever ones you like but pls do not heap shit on one or the other.
Both games have done great at what they are aiming for.
A little bit disappointed they didn't put a sniper rifle in the game

I don’t think I’m that good, and I’m at least on par with this guy. He uses slides better than me. That’s something I want to do more of. The slide into a shatter on an enemy around the corner was the best move here.
Recommend using Dash constantly. Besides creative flanking, it’s crucial that you’re chaining kills, to build the Overdrive multiplier.
Also recommend interacting more with the verticality of the environments. Grav-jump with a double Dash is crazy mobility, and can finish with another skill.
Overdrive is incredible. Especially specced with skill cooldowns. You can Chain kills with near constant combos of skills. Using it on at least one encounter would be useful.
Another glaring difference is that i use focus repeatedly to find hidden enemies, so i can continue the chain of kills.
Take Doom and Far Cry, sprinkle it with superpowers and dip it in a helping of that 90' XXXTREMENESS i'm oh so fond of and you got yourself a killer time

In my rage 2.. First blood and gore was perfect but decals stopped working after a few minutes and i had to quick load. But in rage 2 July update they completely fucked it up and there's no blood.
Can i ask what where you playing on? Because the blood and gore looks fantastic.

I'm not seeing the Borderlands comparison at all. Mad Max meets Doom with superpowers seems more a more apt comparison but that just my opinion

I was also noticing the sparse use of Dash. It’s too good. He uses slides way more effectively than me, so i gotta hand it to him there.

Every single friendly you come across can't even damage a single mob in a gunfight, you can watch for literal hours as thier shots and hits do absolutely nothing.

The game seems more fun if you run in guns blazing. I normally prefer taking my time in games and planning what I'm going to do but its so rewarding in this game to run in, dash around and do some awesome combos.
