    Lisa - You are such a talented person. Thank you for explaining sublimation. There is so much technology out there it boggles your mind. At least mine. Lol. I think for me, the best route would be to have someone else do it. Thank you for the video. God bless you and yours.

    My daughter has been doing hoodies, jackets, mugs, etc. with her sublimation / printer for a year or so now. I have considered getting a printer to do it but might just hire her to do my printing for me to start. I love the idea of using sheets. Such a great savings. Thanks for sharing.

    I'm so glad I ran across you, I was wondering if you could do something like this on cotton hoodies? I was thinking cut to size then sew or glue on to the hoodie.

    • @TheQuiltmakerHomestead
      @TheQuiltmakerHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could make them then sew to the hoodie. You wouldn't be able to sublimate directly on a cotton hoodie though

    Can sublimation be printed on cotton?
    And what is the little tag sticking out?

    • @TheQuiltmakerHomestead
      @TheQuiltmakerHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be, but it will wash out. It can be a cotton/poly blend...but will fade depending on the amount of poly in the fabric. The higher % of poly the better. The tag sticking out is one of my labels that I made :)

      Being 100% honest...I liked each of the sheets equally, however I need to do an updated video as I've started using white poplin fabric for sublimation and I love it 100 times more :)

    I made my granddaughter a photo memory quilt for her high school graduation. I wish I would of seen your videos before I did hers. I have watched all 5 of your videos on photo quilts. Very informative. I used 100% polyester. It turned out ok, but after watching your videos, I’m going to make her a duplicate one using your suggestions. Do you sublimate directly onto the microfiber sheets? Do you use an interfacing behind the microfiber before sublimating? Or, do you use the microfiber sheet as the backing fabric for your quilt? Thank you for answering my questions.

    What stabilizer do you like to use for the tshirt quilts and the sheet?
    Can you tell me how well they Quilt up?
    Does it run or split with a longarm needle going thru it?

      Hello :) My favorite interfacing to use is the Pellon P44f. I have not yet quilted these particular sheets yet....however....a few years back I made a quilt for the hubby and he wanted a microfiber sheet as the back....it quilted wonderfully, and it's so soft and snuggly and holding up great to everyday use. I'm hoping these sheets hold up the same way

    What is sublimation?

    • @TheQuiltmakerHomestead
      @TheQuiltmakerHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sublimation shirt printing is a specific process of printing that first involves printing onto a special sheet of paper, then transferring that image onto another material (usually polyester or a polyester mix).
      The ink is then heated until it disintegrates into the fabric.
