nice video I pulled 2 of these from 2 Dell Optiplex 7010s I got from school. I put them in Crossfire and with a slight overclock to 875mhz on core and 1000mhz on mem got slightly better perf on supported benchmarks. Otherwise I'm just using them as display adapters for one of my Optiplex 7010 (which for me at least, performed better than the Intel HD 4000) and my Optiplex 790 (which has a Xeon in it without an iGPU)
Interesting, didn't know you could crossfire these cards. Don't really see why they would support it considering how underpowered they are, but I kinda wana try it now...
I recently was *forced* to use one of these in 2024 as my laptop had died before my PC build was complete and I had to quickly cobble together enough parts to make my build usable and could not afford an actual GPU yet. and it sorta changed me for a bit. for that entire time I only really played early 2010s era games and emulators of older consoles. it's actually able to do Gamecube emulation at an acceptable framerate for Smash Bros. Melee at the very least, but it struggles with PS3 emulation, usually running at half of the game's intended speed. (and my CPU was actually decent so I am mostly certain the bottleneck was the GPU) and also, for some reason, the card couldn't run 3D on Linux at all. I couldn't get any drivers for it even though I was told AMD card drivers for cards thay came from around the time existed in the kernel. I got mine for 7.50 (2 of them for $15) and it did do more than I was expecting for that price.
Idk how buy i can get 120 fps on valorant with 720 on the same card and 60 fps on fn with a lil bit of optimizing but here are the specs core i5 4460 3.4 ghz on boost and 16 gb ddr3 amd radeon hd 7470
Oh boy, wait until you discover the HD 7450 . That's right, you thought the HD 7470 was bad? The HD 7450 is about 20% slower than the HD 7470 , also it has half the Vram, at 512 mb, and there's only a gddr3 version as far as I'm concerned.
@@Jaindike If only you knew the millions of hours of heavy gaming i've put into my 7470M from 2012 to 2022 on an external monitor (lol, all gtas namely SA IV V, all total wars, fallouts) and if it wasnt gaming i was watching youtube in 1080p non stop. Never had any problems with it, still functionable to this day, 12 years later of abuse.

I know, but he can
HD 7470:
lol. love it

Great video man! I always opted for the HD 7570 in SFF builds; much better heatsink at least...
Thank you. I might have a 7570 laying around to do a video on
i got a dell oem 7570 in an extreme budget build. great little card with an OC and nimeZ drivers
nice video man
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed
@@Jaindike can you do an r9 280x in 2023
@@gamingwolf7895 Low key dont think I can afford it at the moment. But Ill keep it in mind
I just got one recently, I'm very surpised it can display 1080p 120Hz through HDMI.👍
love your channel W video W channel
Thank you! (W comment btw)
0:34 " this is the hd 4870 " not sure if edit or accidentally said the wrong name there.
Nah I did say the wrong name. Worked with to many 4000 series cards ig
Literally my gaming gpu, i hate it so much. Annoyingly its like a Volvo, it never fails
Oh God lol. Reminds me of my 94' ranger..
How do you play games? I have one too and it can't even run tcg card shop not sure what to do tbh.
@@BMW-X6M-24 either play very old games from like the early 2000s or don't play anything. It wasn't a very good GPU when new

do you have link to the driver
Google amd driver download, and it should be one of the first links
The HD 7350 1GB gets 3 fps in BeamNG the fact the HD 7470 gets 22 is insane 7% increase in preformance
1gb GDDR5?
Man , I used to play Minecraft and roblox on it, just a tiny, tiny tiny difference
It was a 1gb GDDR3 model 😂
Seeing how the HD 7470 is about as powerful as the Geforce 7800 GTX, maybe you should try that and compare.. :)
Ooh good idea. Wrote it down
Fun fact. I was actually gonna buy this but bought the r5 240 instead.
Thank God
Yeaah you definitely dodged a bullet there

That card sounds absolutely horrible. Ill definitely get one
at 0:35 u called it a 4870 lol. having flashbacks?
Didn't realize that lol. It's definitely the flashbacks
currently using this gpu as a gaming gpu running games on 800x600 😭
Oh God lol. Best of luck. Not even an OC can save this card
Wow, my 5 dollar i3's HD 4000 outperforms that
There are dozens of great games you can play on it on full details. But if you want to play latest games, well, you have to search for other card.
Yeah... I don't think it'd hold up in many triple A games

maaate, you totally did not get the point. this is a windows xp SFF card, for retro builds, and for that, it is plenty!
even this is better than my laptop in cs go 😅🙂
Now that sounds horrible lol
@@Jaindike yeah 😅
i have this gpu i use it for gaming and I used optimize apps
How do I overclock it?
Amd gpu clock tool or mso afterburner
DUDE! Use IPA to remove old thermal paste, not a bloody screwdriver! 💀
I have in my laptop 😂
With AMD e450 CPU 🤣
Yake permission in beamng drive
Yake permission?
The only reason to use this card if there is no iGPU and if it is found inside the recycling bin.
Agreed lol
You dont know what you're talking about lmao I used it for 16h/day for 10 years of heavy gaming and my 7470M never broke
@@LucfxGambitGaming maybe you should have done some part time all those year and you would have a 4090 by now
