Hand feeding Green Lorikeets (Scaly Breasted Green Lorikeets)

Hand feeding greenies at my parents property near Nambour.
The honey on the bread has vitamin supliments mixed in,
As you can see these birds are very healthy.
The Fluffy Noisy one is a baby, the newest addition to the family.

I have one as a pet. Seen it getting attacked , pulled over and grabbed it. It was biting me hard all the way home. 1 hand was covered in my blood. Lol Took a while but it loves me now. Had it 8 years.

I already tamed a wild one as well and it doesn't just gets hand feeded, you can also play with him. So far I can let him play in my house for a while, pet him, put him on my hand and shoulders etc. My lorikeets are scaly breasted one as well. I even play the computer while he sits on my shoulders!

Thanks Shirley, yes the Rainbows get their fair share of honey but they usually try to avoid the Greenies if there is lots of them.

It's me again. I live in Tenterfield, NSW, and for the passed 4 days these greenies have inundated Tenterfield in a massive flock but I can't get a photo of them to use on my bird blog.
