I’m just going to try replace the spring actually it might be all you need to do from watching this video. Thanks for the help, if it’s the starter where can you purchase these parts are not easy to find as it’s prier to KTM buying them out or whatever
Watched this video. Found the similar part and followed the swap procedure and .....it works great. Full engagement, doesn't kick out and cranks very easily with no noises. I tried greasing the turning slide part but found the grease to slow the turning of the engagement parts and they would not return home. Slightly removed most grease, tested by fingers and all seemed good. Installed and tested great.. Its zero degrees now so that may have affected the grease. Thanks for all the info and vid.
So old video but still helping ppl and you still answer questions. Thank you for that. I own a ec250 13 and previous owner done that mod and e-start worked fine all those years. Now i cant find that honda bendix but it looks like CY6 or piaggio typhoon's bendix parts will fit. Is there any other bike's bendix fit? Cant find any specs.
My 2012 Gas Gas 300 ec the starter doesn’t work when I hit the button it just makes a click sound. Does that sound like it’s the actual starter issue? Your help would be greatly appreciated 🎉
I have a few questions:: If the bendix gear on the starter of my 2015 Yamaha FZS SVHO doesn't disengage even after the engine has already started, will my starter get damaged if I still continue to use the ski? Also, is it true that when the flywheel spins faster than the starter motor, the bendix gear spins freely even when it has not disengaged from the flywheel?
Is it normal to have a different noise when you turn the starter after replacing those parts? I did the same operation and now it really sounds harsh (but starts right away).
@@Meekerextremethe battery is already a brand new lithium unit, the bike starts right away but the noise is a bit different than before. It's more "grinding" with the new bendix.
Hi, is your motorcycle 2T or 4T ? Because looking my bandix ( I have a gas gas 250 2011 2T) is slightly differente, the gear crown is not the same. If i'm not wrong bendix is the same for all these modes GasGas Ec 250-300 2T 2007-2013 and if i'm not from you gas gas ec300 is 2T. So, I don't understand why our bendix are different. Thanks for your video really interesting.
@@Meekerextreme thanks man I put a little on it. I have some black grease 500 temperature degrees max heat resistance. It for vehicles say nothing about mopeds. But I try it out. It black thick Grease very sticky but the heat should turn it into good lubricant maybe

No, I don't

I do not recall a different noise, you could try adding a lithium batter that will make it spin up faster and engage/start.

How about beta300 it's that fit for beta300

Yes, it's a 2012 GasGas EC300 (which is a 2-stroke). GasGas had changes 2012-2013 over the 2011 and previous models.
Hi i just want to ask what is the size of the spring?thank you
Good question but I don't know.
That's exactly what I'm trying to find out haha
What did you use to grease it? What can I use to lubricate the part? Thank you just trying save money
I think I just used whatever grease I had laying around, but don't use too much otherwise dirt with just stick to it in time.

Did you have any problems with this mod in the long run?
Nope, still on the bike to this day
Can it work for gasgas es300 2018? Can you write the diameter of the pinion and bendix length, please.
Nope, sorry it's in the bike. With how cheap it is, just buy one and see if it works.
it works on KTM too , exc xcw 250 300 after 17 m.y. , watch on my channel
