Do you know what’s the best place to stay in Salem for Halloween? I plan to visit and stay for a week, I guess that’s enough time to see everything the town has to offer. Also, do adults trick or treat there too?
The most famous and historical hotel is probably the Hawthorne Hotel. It's located directly across the Salem Common and is in the thick of the action. There are other good hotels like the Salem Hotel which is on the main pedestrian (Essex St) walkway which is also in the middle of the action. The Salem Hotel has a roof deck restaurant. There is also the Hampton Inn downtown and Salem Waterfront hotel. All easy access to the Halloween festivities. There are also quaint B&Bs in the city as well. I've personally never stayed at any since I live in Salem but you probably can't go wrong with any of them. As for adults trick or treating, I think mostly walking around with their kids. But adults def walk around the city to take in all of the Halloween decorations. And a week should be plenty for Salem. Maybe not enough if say you were also trying to squeeze in Boston.
Feb 11 2024 I looked online for Halloween 2024. $2400 to $4500 for 4 nights and those hotels were booked to 90% capacity. The rest are milled from town. Make sure there's enough parking or transportation to town.
Yes there is a lot to see in Salem. Lots of museums and tours. Here is a great list of things to do: shewandersabroad.com/things-to-do-in-salem-ma-in-october/

As someone that lives close to Salem, when i drive there i would park a few blocks away and just walk. It's only a 5-10 min walk to the main area so its worth avoiding the headache of trying to find closer parking. The crowd and all the traffic will make you waste way more than 20 minutes trying to find closer parking.
That was the busiest night being right on Halloween but it pretty much goes all October long so other days wouldn't be so bad. I have a few other videos of downtown Salem on my channel earlier in October if you wanted to see it on other days.
@@CBH85 I agree. But I wonder if I walked into his church and started singing ‘this is Halloween’ M Manson version, if he would agree with you ? I thinking not

My wife and I were there the last week of October. It was a blast. I was Papa Emeritus II from the band Ghost and she was a 'sister of sin'.

Have you ridden to Boston from Salem or vice versa? Is it a hard ride?
I've never tried that one, it's hard to get from Boston to the North Shore without hitting a near highway like road, it may be possible though.
I wanna go to Salem at Halloween as much as I want to go to Halloween Horror Nights
You should just do it. I l ed in Salem for 40 years and was downtown on Halloween 🎃 every year
We flew up from Arkansas. My girlfriend was Orko and I was Skeletor.
Nice choices! I hope you enjoyed your time in Salem!
I found us! We're at 15:46
Well-pretty crowded-I certainly Would Not take my dog down thru the crowds!!! Poor Pup!!

There's really a man with a megaphone ?? Oh go away
I find that very disrespectful when I see shyt like that, I agree. Let them have their Samhain party, they don't need that crap
