  • We know that lack of proprioception is common for people with hypermobility. Lack of proprioception can lead to overstretching, lack of awareness, injury and clumsiness.
I’ve found that it is a contributor to pain. Find out how to improve your proprioception through appropriate exercises.

I really liked this exercise. I have a lot of fear around moving my shoulders and shoulder blades. This exercise will be a great addition to my practice. Thank you!

Hello again!! Browsing through all of these amazing awakenings, this awareness that I thought I had but still is lacking a lot of!! The importance of slowing down! Being an A personality in the wrong body, behaving like a runaway train.
Please help me!! HOW do I find the type of exercises I’m looking for? Like focus on a specific part of my body? Strengthening feet without standing??
Pelvic stability(is of course a part of everything but…)
Thanks again for all of what’s made available!!

Now this is fascinating. I always attributed my distance perception issues to my Irlens Syndrome. Irlens is a controversial diagnosis of an issue of communication between brain & eyes. I wonder if connective tissue disorders can cause this miscommunication? I can't drive because my ability to assess distance (especially at speed) is very hinky. When in a car, my brain is sure we are going to hit oncoming cars, & also sure we are going to hit guideposts on the verge! This is only an issue in severe Irlens cases, so perhaps it is simply a compounding of two separate medical conditions? Like I said.....fascinating.
