  • If you're planning to retire to another country, ANY other country than where you live, you NEED to know this secret. If you're already retired and living abroad, you could be wasting A LOT of money! Doesn't matter where you're from or where you're going, you can do this ONE thing and save money!
    #retirement #retireabroad #savemoneylivebetter #thailand
    I used small examples in the video but let's kick it up a notch. Instead of a 20,000 THB rental let's look at a 4,000,00 THB condo or home purchase. You're a foreigner so you're paying cash. Today, that condo would cost you $116,296, but using this secret, it would only cost me $108,108. Why waste more than $8,000? Watch and learn!

    Wow. Moving to Hua Hin in early October from New Zealand. Just had a look at NZD to THB exchange rates - looks like at least a 10% trough-to-peak variation. Didn't realise how easy it was to set up the exchange parameters on WISE. Not often you can get a 10% ลดราคา (lót-raa-kaa) with under 2 minutes work!!! ขอบคุณ ครับ (kòp-kun kráp).

    I got very lucky i just bought a condo when the thai bhat hit a weak point against sterling which made it about a 3% difference in my favour .. i think your peak 7% will be more difficult to achieve in reality but the theory is sound in that when you have fixed dates for financial data being released you can predict currency movements to a certain degree 7 % everytime is unlikely

    Awesome video, finally someone explained the famous wise app. Only one question, for those that don’t have an actual bank account in Thailand, how do we go about getting the funds once there? -any other way to collect the money transfer to the Thai account in wise once on site?

    • @RetiringToAsia
      @RetiringToAsia  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Without a Thai bank here, I think the only way to pull funds from Wise is with the debit/atm card and I believe, not sure, it's tied to your home funds and not the converted Thai funds. Check with Wise for more details or confirmation. Opening a bank account is super easy if you use an agent. I did a recent video interviewing the agent I use for everything. Check that video out for details on opening an account next time you're here.
