His ex wife Tashera told the story at his funeral, she used to ask him why he would always talk about dying at a early age in his music and prayers, his response was "Because I really thought that I wouldn't make it past 22." And that was always deep to me. When you go through something in life and the only thing that you can expect is death itself is depressing. I'm just grateful that DMX (my favorite rapper) got to experience more and to share his pain with the world and did everything in his power to help guide those who related to his situation, no matter what the struggle was. Hip Hop is definitely on life support, after he passed. He was loved, he deserves to be inducted into the Rock N Roll, Hall Of Fame, and there will never be another X. May he rest in peace🌹🌹🌹🌹🙌🙌🙌🙌💎💎

I seen X a few times and the first time was at Woodstock 99’ which was a hell of a performance. There just aren’t any rappers out today that can compare to Biggie,Pac,DMX,IceCube,Nas,Eminem,WU-Tang,EPMD,Jay Z,Busta and that list goes on and on. The 90’s were a wonderful era for every genre of music. I snuck out and went across the bridge to Philly for the Def Jam: Survival of the Illest Tour show featuring DMX, Onyx, Def Squad (Redman, K. Murray, and E. Sermon), and Foxxy Brown. It was X’s first tour as a pun actual solo artist and not just some artist featured on another rapper’s song. You knew from the moment he came out that he owned the stage. Unfortunately, that was first concert I’d have been to. So he set the bar so high that it ruined hip hop shows for me after him bc nobody else was even close to his level Live. Then, I got in trouble again going to the Philly show for the Hard Knock Life Tour w/ X, Red & Meth, Ja, the LoX, and Rocafella. I didn’t sneak out of my crib (like before). This time, I asked mom and pops to stay at my godparents’ crib. Then me and my godbrother went to the show. But OF COURSE, my godparents mention the concert to my parents in casual conversation thinking my parents already knew and gave me permission. But nope! 😂 HOWEVER, it was totally worth it BOTH times, and I’d do it again without hesitation
