People really hated on Nobara's backstory when I didn't see a problem with it. They also seemed to not care as much for her death which is crazy because up until now, she's been a decent character
Her backstory was all abt that she had a good life Nothing crazy, sad shit happened her life was good until mahito came in with that slap 💀 Also a lot of people didn't like that she just let mahito touch her
Because her backstory doesn't really tell you anything new that we didn't know about her so it taking up half the episode is pretty bad. Also, the reason why people have a problem with her death is that she barely did anything in the show as a main character. So it comes off as just shock factor.
I love nobara and I cared abt her backstory but it did feel too long. It was half the episode after she was touched by mahito, it took the tempo and the shock out of it imo. I didn't care abt fumi at all, maybe I just forgot abt her but I swear she wasn't mentioned in S1 right?? I'll never understand Danny's takes on JJK, especially regarding Nobara's backstory. I really liked it, it's not overly tragic and feels like it could have happened to anyone. Which makes sadder in my opinion when she dies. That being said it's very entertaining listening to your banter
Because doing a backstory before killing her is cheap. And the backstory isn't interesting at all. We already knew she was sad about her friend leaving.
Exactly. Like everyone isn't going to have a tragic backstory like Naruto or One Piece. Her's was the most down to earth and when else would they show it? Yall be mad if it was randomly place in S2 before or after her death

Nobara vs that curse when she first appeared . The way she acted during that fight and her decisions gave us an idea of who she is, next mai vs nobara it fleshed out her relatioship with Maki and what type of people she likes. One of the most important fights for us to understand who she is and what she believes in was nobara vs momo literally when i instantly realized how good of a female character she is as a female myself she became one of my favourites. finally nobara and yuji vs death paintings brothers it fleshed out her relationship with yuji specifically and how crazy and determined she can be and of course her power . Her backstory was perfect her life literally flashed before her eyes and so she realized that she had a good life and died happy thinking of the good times and the people important to her who take over seats in her life something she had also mentioned in season 1 for how she feels about others and who she chooses to care for and be important to her that "there are only so many seats in her heart" that conversation she had with yuji after they became "murderers" should also show how much of a comfort she was for him and why her death was very devastating for him
Saori’s house was vandalized for the same reason Fumo was bullied and for the same reason Nobara hater her town. They were outsiders that didn’t fit in and the community alienated them because of that. They might not have been that different. They probably did nothing. They were in a small town and weren’t raised there their whole life which meant they were strangers that should have been judged. That’s why Nobara pushed people away, because she didn’t want to be in community with people that could be like that and didn’t want to be part of the larger family of the town. So, she decided she didn’t need anyone but outsiders. People she could escape the town through.

@oceanapearl3503 yeah she never actually talked to gojo directly. She always talked with everybody but him. Like how megumi would talk to gojo randomly in a couple recent flashbacks? Nobara never had a one on one conversation with him

Danny’s take on Nanami/Nobara is interesting, because in the fandom, it’s Nanami’s death that caused the most grief. By far. I think Saori was mentioned earlier in the manga as well, hinting at her being driven out.
Frieren and Apothecary Diaries are by far the best shows this season. Frieren should go without saying, but I'm curious to see If Nick changes his tune in the upcoming episodes. In that shot there’s also a picture of Saori and two women, and they’re all hugging. It’s implied that those are Saori’s two moms - thus, implied that the village hated them bc of homophobia

@KeangoDLuke I literally have the opposite feeling about getting hype for JJK as opposed to needing to be in a headspace for Dr. STONE. @@danlongwell6240 are you up to date with Dr Stone? Because this season has been absolutely fantastic. I can see that complaint with the last season but this one has been faultless imo
@KeangoDLuke Yeah, I believe I just watched the most recent episode. Like I said, I think Season 1 was better cause they actually took time to build characters internally and explain the science in detail. Now, Senku's science just feels like a total rectal-pull superpower that sets up bits, and Ryusui and Soyuz are very one-note characters. I enjoy them, and I like the overall plot of this season, but every time I go to watch the show I feel like I need to prepare for it to be 75% bits or people being like "gee Senku sure is smort" and 25% plot advancement/character development. That's not true of the most recent one, to be fair, last episode slapped, but I feel like we could've either gotten here more quickly or I could've gotten more show vs. tell in Senku's scientific mind.

To me still to this day she ain't dead she's alive and kicking cause until Gege blatantly states she's gone then I'll believe it or if in story character's say or show she's dead then I'll believe that too. Also the Young Thug stuff killed me 🤣
Correction on the young thug coke open it was Truly Humble Under God not Thoroughly Humble Under God he also said pushing P meant pushing positivity and the lawyer talking about the blunt arc wasn’t young thugs lawyer but another persons involved with the case and she was saying her client is the side character 😂
the reason they vandalized Saori's house is explained jn Nobara's intro ep in s1 I believe (or one of her first few eps). that's why the cutaway to her backstory bugged me so much in this ep. it was a retread of information we already knew. i wasn't mad at the anime for making it take so long, I was more mad at Gege for not giving us more Nobara development before she died. besides the backpack switching we hardly received any new insight to her before her death, and that was disappointing. it could have been a flashback to her training at Jujutsu High with the boys or the 2nd years, having her motivations change after the cursed womb brothers incident, SOMETHING
western vs eastern animation difference: Western animators place frames equidistant from each other giving that choppy effect danny spoke about. eastern animation space frames closer together during fast movement to give more fluid visuals - give a look up its kinda fascinating

You'll rarely find a season without a show like it thats main character has a girl he likes with a weird quirk (komi cant communicate, shikimoris not just a cutie, my dress up darling, miss nagatoro, girlfriend girlfriend, uzaki chan)
1:04:29 I couldn't agree more with Nick here. I was waiting only for two things in Shibuya arc, the first one was Yuuji shouting Nanamin on top of the building and the second one is gonna be the next episode
Seeing the cheese mouth incident live was too funny 😂
26:00 i vaguely remembered this convo and i just found it again and it still had me flabbergasted
Danny should bring neck banana bread next week 😂
To me still to this day she ain't dead she's alive and kicking cause until Gege blatantly states she's gone then I'll believe it or if in story character's say or show she's dead then I'll believe that too. Also the Young Thug stuff killed me 🤣
I really like the feeder/mukbang route the podcast is going latley
Science Saru has been around since 2014. Very underrated animation studio
Science Saru also made the Scott Pilgrim show
Nick touching Danny’s warm banana is the kind of content I expect to see on your only.. I mean Patreon
Oh man i havent laughed so hard in a long time over the entire banter during the fruit reveal bit and not rochelle bit
the reason they vandalized Saori's house is explained jn Nobara's intro ep in s1 I believe (or one of her first few eps). that's why the cutaway to her backstory bugged me so much in this ep. it was a retread of information we already knew. i wasn't mad at the anime for making it take so long, I was more mad at Gege for not giving us more Nobara development before she died. besides the backpack switching we hardly received any new insight to her before her death, and that was disappointing. it could have been a flashback to her training at Jujutsu High with the boys or the 2nd years, having her motivations change after the cursed womb brothers incident, SOMETHING
western vs eastern animation difference: Western animators place frames equidistant from each other giving that choppy effect danny spoke about. eastern animation space frames closer together during fast movement to give more fluid visuals - give a look up its kinda fascinating
The best part of my day is when these angels press upload 👏
the one that want all dead is completely crazy where we are depressed cuz of their death
I hope the banana becomes a regular on the show. She gave it all for the sake of entertainment. I salute you, Banana
As somebody who lives in Alabama as a black man that lives in Alabama I can honestly tell you the reason why I Stay is the property value is so damn cheap
Science Saru is the studio behind Scott Pilgrim takes off, and I’m pretty sure they did Devilman Crybaby as well so it makes sense that he thought of Devilman
Totally didn't hop on TH-cam from spotify to watch the apple/ banana bit go down, had me confused too
HELL YEAH PODCAST EPISODE FOR MY BIRTHDAY LESS GOOO
Yo happy birthday 🎉
@@Ros13_Pos13 Thanks 👍
“I don’t hang out with ppl who aren’t cool high” true
Shigaraki, Eren, Mayuri, Dio, Greed(the blunt never moves past him). This is the worst I could think of without the ones you guys took. The berserk crew and mahito are good picks
The ending was fantastic
58:00 Saori left the small village because everyone was being assholes to her family for being outsiders from a big city. They went over this in the very first season of the show. They vandalized her dad's car too.
46:50 omg the true concern of Nick when Danny ate the orange 🤣🤣
danny, pls continue this food in the sleeves bit. it's hilarious
Rico Charges are why Japan has less active Yakuza now. They don’t call them that though.
Nobora getting touched was such a ball tap she could be such a good character cool concept for a character too FUCK im not convinced shes dead now cause he said that he couldnt kill her with one touch so im banking on that and she weakened his abilities with her move so fuck it she not dead also they tell you in the first season thelat the villagers were mad at her for the people she worked for.
mahito said he couldn't kill nanami with one touch not her
@pau7886 you sure? I could've sworn I seen her in the subs
I love how he just says "megumis good" 😂😂😂
love how fast you guys are uploading now
2:08:10 Danny devolves to monke, 2023, Colorized
He was right
Her name is Fuko by the way and the reason shens ability didnt work on victor is because he has to like the person in order to activate it, also does Fuko’s unluck
Just wait till unrepair comes into the show and Fuchs everything up.
First time im 100% with Danny on a jjk take
Frieren and apothecary diaries are the best anime so far this year. Both 10/10 for me. Gems
