It will only “look sad” if you have the full four bonding stages but it will appear as a temporary horse so don’t worry.

So sweet lol I get wayyy too attached to my horses. When I was on a robbery mission with Javier, I discovered I could loot the saddle bags of the family’s hitched horses, but then I found a beautiful Silver Tail Buckskin American Standardbred. Not the best horse in the game, but at the time she was the prettiest thing I’ve seen. Named her Ginseng 💛
She was like my partner in crime. However, many adventures & shenanigans later, I sadly lost her while hunting, I was chasing something and it ran downhill, she slipped into a drop off poor thing.
I still like finding the best horses, but I can’t collect due to the stable limit. Lol otherwise I would have had a whole herd of horses at my command.

This is all back in 1895 Friesians don't look like they do today they were still being bred to look like this and were down in new York where the region they were found in was abandoned. So they shouldn't be entering the game anytime soon. This game stars in California.

Yeah, after you SHOT it...
1. You shoot the horse hoping to make it stop but it won't so what was the whole point in doing that?
2. There was a lady that was trapped and you didn't bother to save her.
3. Your horses stamina was empty and you didn't give it eny treats or a stamina potion.
4. You could of whistled your old horse back to come to the stable will you so you could stable it or sell it you didn't need to leave it there poor thing..
I know that this is just a game but still.. I'm just trying to give you some advice.

Aww u left the black one all tied up 🥺. Also, if you are looking for horses, the Arabians are alright I guess, super skittish (u can get the white black red and warped brindle for free in chapter 2) but you can also get the Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter in Chapter 2 from Arcadia for Amateurs or get biscuit. If you want a war horse the Bay Roan Ardennes is a very solid build much like a shire and is stupidly brave. The gold Turk is available in chapter 3 I think along with the Dark Bay (steal it during ‘Horse Flesh For Dinner’, courtesy of Catherine Braithwaite). You can also get the Dark Dapple Grey Hungarian Halbred and the Piebald Tobiano HH from bounty hunters or the lasso a rider of his horse trick. The brindle thoroughbred (max speed) can be stolen off the coloured lady who wants to race you. Be warned; horses of the npc racers are very... ‘high strung’. This can be fixed by reloading red dead I think. Worked with my brindle.
However I think shires are very beautiful, but I am too used to fast horses and lots of travelling (red, black, white, warped Arabians, silver dapple MFT, brindle thoroughbred) to own a heavy horse like that. Even my bay roan Ardennes was painfully slow.

i know this is like two years from the vid, but i had to comment, but i’d you remember the mission where you torch the grays fields with sean and you steal the shires to get out, i kept the white one a few times, but my most recent playthrough i kept her and named her rain, i loved her.

Suwarna Oli I started out with a shire. She was amazing. She stayed away from cliffs no matter how I hard I tried to go down a steep hill. She wouldn’t let me. She would juke trees as well. Shires are more bullet proof and strong. They may not be the fastest, but they are still a great horse. I had mine until it got shot in a mission. It’s a spoiler, so I won’t tell. The white Arabian is overrated.
Cuz the shires don’t look like a joke, and the stat difference isn’t even that much if you have a good saddle.
