      The virus ending would be nice! We do have visitors to West Point with advance communication.

      Harmonic reeds paired with the Cornet V in the German Great - basically my combination of stops which works as a "solo reed" up in the chancel area. I usually use the Chamade for actual weddings, but the poor Chamade is feeling the effects of summer and was not suitable for this recording - it will need to be quarantined for a couple more weeks before the fall tunings begin.

    A grand grand piece that must be played by either a full orchestra with a complete brass ensemble or a full pipe organ with fiery bold horizontal trumpet reeds and a deep rich principle chorus of pipes.

      We do have the advantage of a very comprehensive instrument in playing weddings and larger funerals.

    So glad I found your new channel. The only one I knew about before still has only 4 videos put up here over 5 years ago. I am right now just playing your entire new channel! Organ sounds magnificent!

      Thank you! I'm sorry finding the channel was not more clear. The confusion arose by having two separate Google accounts and not knowing which one was activated when uploading. So I have those four videos still extant on the other account and linked to in my West Point Organist playlist here. But this is now the channel with which I am working exclusively.

    Was that with the Trompette en Chamade and Tuba Major??

    • @kupferdulzian16
      @kupferdulzian16  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are hearing the Tuba Sonora (in the Harmonic division) along with some of the other Harmonic reeds (including the Aeolian-Skinner Ophicleide), combined with the Mounted Cornet V in the Hauptwerk division! Unfortunately - on two counts - the Chamade was feeling its summer tuning and was not going to be appropriate for this recording at this time, though I do use it when playing this for weddings. Also, Tuba Major (dating from 1911) has not been playable for over 15 years, and its repair is definitely on the list but not the highest priority at this time. If you want to hear the Chamade playing against this Tuba Sonora/Cornet V combination, please listen to my video where I play the "National Hymn."

    adaptation by Jean Guillou

      @kupferdulzian16  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I play this from the Oxford Wedding Book, with the middle section from another volume and a few additions from myself here and there. Is this similar to Guillou's treatment? I should listen to that!

    • @jean-jacqueskaselorganreco6879
      @jean-jacqueskaselorganreco6879 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kupferdulzian16 it is very similar indeed,and yours is very well done and played.Some small difference in the treatment of the left hand one some places. There is a nice recording by Maître Guillou on the Kleuker organ of Alpe d'Huez he designed as well.There is an own cadenza he puts before the reprise. th-cam.com/video/YM78oEebcpM/w-d-xo.html

      @@jean-jacqueskaselorganreco6879 Fabulous! Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed M. Guillou's cadenzas very much! I also enjoyed hearing the Kleuker organ. Hopefully, I might get over there to hear it in person some day.
