    Yikes, I had to take a nap after watching you unload the ply 😅, great job on flooring 👍most people don't think about a boat as a moving almost living thing in the water 👍 well done 👏

    All your hard work gives me inspirations to get stuff done around my house! Really wish I was living the boat life, but for now, I have to be content. Absolutely love seeing your weekly updates and how the barge is progressing. Thanks for sharing :)

    Love the names of the herbs. Amazing to see it all happening. You take care and pace yourself.

    I see why you needed that nap! What a job. Loved the last footage of the barge's bum and Bertie looking back at us. The herb update with the music reminded me of the programs with Norways most celebrated TV chef back in the 70's. Had a fun flashback. Have a great week Beth!

    That was a lot of work Beth. I see Bertie wasn’t much help sleeping on the deck and supervising, but he made up for it by his cameo appearance in the hatch ❤️ 🐾 Things seem to be moving along nicely. The hatch looks great as does the herb garden. Take care. 😊🤗 Kathy

    Goodness so much ply, well done transferring all that onto the boat. It gives some idea of the size of the boat running the camera all along the herbs, looking good. Best wishes Christine x

    Beth, I've just moved on to a 1901 Dutch barge and have been watching what I can of your amazing journey in the weeks leading up to my move! (I've even logged on in order to comment and congratulate and thank you, and I don't log on to anything!) My barge was 'domesticated' 12 years ago and has been a home since, but there's lots I'd like to do, and then there's all the hull stuff, and maintenance, so your videos are inspiring and encouraging (and daunting!). (Thanks for the 'secondary non-condensation hatch idea' - perfect!) Now I'm subscribed (and got internet today) I will try and find video #1 and start from your beginning and watch through. Good luck - I hope the ply is going well!

    Wow too much work! But yay! I’m not a boater so some of the things you do I only half understand but watch anyway. Between you and Candace, I’m ready to see some rooms and some decorating! Keep up the good work. Hey recently you asked for questions for a Q & A. I’d love to here more of your personal story if you’re willing, and how you ended up on the barge.
    Love your channel and I’m stunned by all of your skills. ❤❤

    Gosh, the unloading of the ply looked exhausting, I was knackered just watching! 😅. Great idea with bolting in the new metal floor framing, looks great. Can't wait to see the sub floor ply installed. I am installing new ply in my bahtroom this weekend, but on a much smaller scale than what you're doing. It is certainly expensive these days! 🤐

    • @TillerQueen
      @TillerQueen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really is expensive, yes! Good luck with your project too!

    And your herbs look great! Gorgeous basil. I sure wish I could grow tarragon. I love it but it’s just too hot here (Texas). We grow somewhat of a substitute called Mexican Mint Marigold. Tastes really similar.

    • @TillerQueen
      @TillerQueen  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the tarragon I'm growing isn't the best stuff apparently but it tastes good!

    Please bare in mind that youre ship was made of puddle iron in 1904!
    It would take a special welder to do this job, and it would also be very expensive.
    Otherwise...lovely job Beth, me so jalous 😂

      one thing about moving onto the boat is that I've put on weight but I've also got stronger!

    • @rosemarie-karma
      @rosemarie-karma ปีที่แล้ว

      @TillerQueen Haha, I've thought on a few occasions that you looked like you've lost weight. Definitely stronger, all that over head work, hard to do

      @@rosemarie-karma Definitely haven't lost weight but things will settle down when I'm not eating takeout food so much. ☺️

    I imagine that your bank balance is a bit lighter now after buying all the ply, don't forget to seal it before putting it down, ply is quite porous, I learned that the hard way 😢

    • @TillerQueen
      @TillerQueen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I'm going to seal it before it's down, thanks!

    Plyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 👍🏽
    Genuine question -
    Do you have to store plywood flat and level (off the floor) so as to avoid possible warping due to temperature fluctuations?
    Or is that not an issue with modern day plywood?
    [Plywood - the Next Generation]
    🙂🐿🌈❤️

    • @TillerQueen
      @TillerQueen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, ply should be kept flat really but I don't have the space for that at the moment and this will end up being screwed flat so it should be ok!
