Subscribed because you and those fellas who recorded and uploaded Adult swim broadcasts finally gave me the title of this show after 20+ years. I never got the title as i was first exposed to it at 12 but couldnt find it til now. Gotta find the whole series now. 😂

I remember watching this show as it originally came out. Was easily one of my favorite Adult Swim shows and I occasionally find myself remembering random episodes or random bits from the show. My favorite characters were Mentok and Phil Ken Sebben, just so many laughs I got out of those two. "Haha, last episode cameo!"
Oh, I remember the Scooby and Shag episode well. The police video of the cop pulling them over and the conversation that ensued was comedic gold...lol. I loved all the Harvey episodes along with Space Ghost Coast to Coast, the writing teams spoofing society still holds up.

While I agree that athletes are already pushing themselves to the limit so why not go whole hog, the question becomes if such things were allowed professionally, how will the playing field be leveled? Financially well off athletes would have more access to these substances, and those who don't would likely fall behind. Granted, that's kinda already the case in some aspects; better gyms, coaches, locations, etc, but throwing enhancers on top of all that is just another hurdle. Theoretically an oversight committee could ensure it's all evenly distributed but that would be an enormous undertaking and putting a huge amount of power into the hands of a few. And there would inevitably people who would refuse them outright, even if offered with no consequence.

Well, there is a principal in comedy that was perhaps something they could have evoked after Juror in Court with the Peter Potomus, but never turned the corner on. Because in comedy there's this sort of U shaped curve to humor. Once for a joke can be hilarious, particularly because of the surprise and how blindsided you are by it. But it's rapidly diminishing returns as repeated. As this video mentioned. To the point where there is no humor in it anymore. But what most don't realize is that there is also an upswing after that valley. Where repeated exposure to a joke can turn something unfunny into absurdist humor as well. For instance the repetition of "Spam" in that Monty Python Sketch. A few time sis funny, then it stops being funny, then it become absurdly funny as it goes on. The problem with the Peter Potomus jokes was that he didn't get enough screentime to really hit that Absurdist Humor upswing again. Just from a pure comedy writing thing. Rather than a moral judgement over what was actually being shown. Just Harvey Birdman, in general, went for trying to tell a billion jokes once, instead of hitting that absurdist humor with running gags. Which made the few running gags stick out as awkward to me. Even if some of them eventually "Paid off" like I figure they intended with both of the Peter Potomus running jokes of "Did you get that thing I sent you?" and his sexual harassment.
