I may be wrong, but I think the 250x is geared for higher top speed, which would be useful on the street, but both of these bikes would be pretty much the worst type of bike for street use. Dirt bike's only go like 65 mph, the wheels are not balanced, the tread doesn't grip the concrete, and the suspension is too soft for emergency braking and steering. Plus, they are not street legal in most places unless you do a bunch of expensive conversions.

The dealer said the suspension was identical but adjusted differently is that true can i just adjust my setting to match the 250x?

So they are the same as quick, but the 250x has just a bit more torque??
given the bigger sprocket on the X, the regular 250 will have a higher top speed and more high end torque
