Thank you ladies so so so much i really needed to hear this today. I needed to hear how I am ot to be to my children. And to reassure what my duties are. I have been struggling a little bit. I have no friends here in our state. We moved a little over a year ago now from California to Arkansas. To give our boys a better life and to depart from family that aren't of the Lord. It's been a whirlwind and a bit stressful at times. We are still looking for a church. We been to several and haven't found one we quite like. So I really appreciate you ladies! I agree that us woman have to stick together in ministry. For right now I watch videos from our old church and a pastor from Tennessee that I enjoy. But I really appreciate your videos Jeannie. Rather you stop or continue i wanted to let you know your videos brighten up my week and bless me!
Sarah made such an impression on me as a young person when we would go to Sunnyside for church over Christmas. She’s so sweet. My mom knew the Overhaults from growing up in Sarasota for a couple years. Loved going to their fruit stand as a child. They had the best strawberries 😋
During the routines - laundry; folding; vacuuming, etc. I talk to the LORD and invite Him into my day. The chores are so much more enjoyable now. I look for God in my every day moments and so my days don't seem so mundane. He's there in every detail of our lives and He wants us to do our chores unto Him and thank Him for the clothes that need cleaning; for the food that was on the dishes that now need washing, etc. A different mindset. PTL! This helped me alot!! God bless you and yours!!

It is so wonderful to hear the different things and way of doing things in people's lives and their families. Also what I love about watching you and some of the other Mennonite women that I watch is even though y'all don't know me I feel like it unifies us as family in Christ. I worship at a Baptist Church and I live in a town where there is a Mennonite store that I go to regularly and I just love it that I can be around Mennonite people and I can watch your life on TV and it's so encouraging and your lifestyle is beautiful and I just really enjoy what you're doing. What a wonderful interview! I thought Sarah spoke some very wise advice. Speaking as a Grandma of 4 little girls I want to back up Sarah in regards to your question about taking your children on vacations or trips. I absolutely agree that this is not selfish or wrong in anyway! My son and daughter still to this day like to reflect back on our past trips together! They are 30 & 34. Vacations are a wonderful bonding time as a family. Especially if you take care not to overschedule. Even now we are planning as a family to take all the littles on a trip to Florida next year for their 1st time to see the ocean! I as a Grandma will be counting the days that I can go with them and watch their reactions to seeing God's beautiful wonder and creation!

That was great.. I was halfway through before I realized what family she’s from!! Now I need to rewatch the first part. My husbands related to her. Anyway such good thoughts from both of you. We also traveled alot with our children and now still like to travel as a couple so I was encouraged that it’s not frivolous. It’s a binding time plus so fulfilling and we do try to show Jesus. That was so interesting that she likes to meet a Christian wherever she goes, yes meeting another believer can really be exciting.
My first husband's job took us to several foreign countries. We had his children - who were teens at this time -and they would go to english speaking schools - surprizing how easy it was to find english schools. The kids got wonderful educational experiences, not from the schools as much as from the surroundings, they were closer "friends" than they would have been living in one place, and our family in general was closer to each other because we did not have outside friends & family nearby & in our lives all of the time. I agree with your guest that your u tube channel is a type of ministry and that you & your husband do it very well. It is important, when necessary , to be able to back away a little or a lot so to keep your primary focus on your own family. It was good that you did this when you needed to. Also , In my experience churches are so needy for volunteers to do just about everything, and if your not careful they can suck the life out of you. It is important to do as much as you comfortably can , but also to know when it is a good idea to say No.I'm sorry but my plate is full right now.
Woe risks for sharing. First, what an interesting life your children had do of experiences! And you put things so well into your message. Such a desperate need for volunteers... but we need to say no when we have to. Thanks for sharing!

My family were in full time ministry my entire life. My parents still are. My Dad was a pastor and very busy, we hardly ever saw him. I became a young girl headed for trouble. I was 12. Well, one day my dad called us all together and told us we were moving to Salzburg Austria as missionaries This was the best thing to happen to our family. We knew no one, we couldn’t speak German so our family became so tight knit. If you asked anyone in our family what was the best time in our family, we would all say being in Austria. We were there for 8 years. We’re so thankful for that time, it saved my life from going to a bad place. Missions work was the best, because we finally had time as a family.
Jeanine this was such a wonderful blessing, two lovely women of God. When my husband was alive we always had an open door and nearly every day our home was full of prayers and fellowship. Thanks for sharing another great video 🙏🙏✝️🕊🥰

I can no longer wish her a happy birthday so I bless you instead. Yesterday was my birthday on Easter Sunday for the first time. My sister and I used to celebrate together. I thought we were twins when we were little. I miss her so much but I’m so happy she’s with the Lord and no longer suffering. God bless you today!

I remember going with my mom to visit sisters in our congregation. We would teach and witness. If they had stopped attending church we would invite them back. If someone was sicke we would go visit them. My mom was a nurse amd she would offer her nursing service for free.

I was so excited to see this video on here today! This was wonderful to watch. I agree, your videos on here are definitely a ministry. I would love to hear more on how to create that emotional connection with our children. I did not come from a healthy family, and I struggle to balance teaching discipline with showing love and respect.

I enjoyed this new segment very much. Even in my own experience a lot of what you discussed was relatable. My mother had parents who spent a great deal of time at church and left my mother and her siblings on their own perhaps too much. It had a lasting effect on my mother her entire life. She was an extremely sensitive person and could have benefited from a little extra attention from her parents. Parenthood is such an important job and we all do the best we can. We begin to see the end results so many years later that its hard to know if you are doing it well at the time.

I really enjoyed your video today. I became a mother at 35. I had one son, and I taught how to pray when he was very small. He grew up loving God, and to this day! He reads his Bible. I got married at 34. Thanks again for this wonderful video. Happy Easter to you, and your family. God bless.

This was very informative and such a refreshing type of interview. Yes we as mother's and Christians need to be more there for our children them being
very young or adults, everything we say and do should evolve around knowing God and to feel at ease talking about our feelings and letting our children know they matter to us and most importantly to our Lord and Savior. Hi Sarah, it was fun seeing you, good memories from when you teached us English in Mexico, years ago.
I remember going with my mom to visit sisters in our congregation. We would teach and witness. If they had stopped attending church we would invite them back. If someone was sicke we would go visit them. My mom was a nurse amd she would offer her nursing service for free.

I was so excited to see this video on here today! This was wonderful to watch. I agree, your videos on here are definitely a ministry. I would love to hear more on how to create that emotional connection with our children. I did not come from a healthy family, and I struggle to balance teaching discipline with showing love and respect.

I enjoyed this new segment very much. Even in my own experience a lot of what you discussed was relatable. My mother had parents who spent a great deal of time at church and left my mother and her siblings on their own perhaps too much. It had a lasting effect on my mother her entire life. She was an extremely sensitive person and could have benefited from a little extra attention from her parents. Parenthood is such an important job and we all do the best we can. We begin to see the end results so many years later that its hard to know if you are doing it well at the time.
