Correction to the Moona story... Moona was originally recruited by AKUKIN Kensetsu but Aqua never provided any serious work for her. Later on Pekora extorted some lapis lazuli from Moona and after some friendly exchanges over a few days and Pekora seeing the potential that Moona had for creating redstone devices, asked Moona to join Usada Kensetsu. Pekora actually gave Moona specific tasks to do along with actual pay, she even provides Moona with Hazard insurance incase of loss of items...
Hazard insurance - that's one way to phrase that xD Seriously, though, for the last month Pekomoona has been probably the hottest Hololive-related topic and I absolutely love it :D
Glasses are really versatile. First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!" That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. Since neither of them know much about Aqua and even Fan has been involved with Hololive for only a couple of months, they probably don't know of the neighbour war events. Myself, I think I started to watch Aqua only like 2 months ago. But I agree - I think the neighbour war was what made Aqua truly popular :D Wasn't she the second most subscribed Hololive member earlier this year - right behind Fubuki?
That's exactly why I'm sad because that Arc shows what Aqua truly is, a cunning, playful, and baka girl at the same time. And yes earlier this year Aqua was the second most subscribed Hologirl and recently other girls have surpassed her.
Some info: - Minato Aqua theme is maid sailor. The sailor theme is based on her name minato = 'harbor' and aqua = 'water' - Aqua is called Baqua which is combination of Baka + Aqua. This is mainly because how she plays, but proven that she is indeed baka in choco-sensei test. Just search 'aqua choco test'. Lets just say she is one of the reason why the average score of hololive girl is low. - Moona was hired by Akukin kensetsu (Aqua construction company), but she was not get paid, and she was recruited by Pekora into Usada kensetsu (Usada construction company), by paying her in carrots.
(The actress behind) Aqua seems to be playing up her bad luck a bit, in the name of creating content. At least that's the impression I got, while watching the Neighbor War series iirc.
Addition: aqua is a pro gamer. I forgot the list of all her achievements. like apex and LoL. And the first beacon on the hololive server was indeed her. And of all of them she's the fastest to finish the game "getting over it" i think its the name of that game.
She has her Baqua moments, but this is also the same Aqua that (in addition to the above) is also really good in Among Us and speed runs Sekiro. When Aqua decides to take a game seriously, she REALLY takes it seriously.
People who weren't watching the stream are going to be so confused at why bakemonogatari toothbrush scene is in your search history xD Also for more on the Akukin Kensetsu vs Usada Kensetsu I believe the story is that Moona was initially recruited by Aqua and Marine but Moona was shortly after hired by Usada Kensetsu and while there she received payments for her work, something she never got from Aqua and so jumped ship and became a full time member of Usada Kensetsu. During the dispute Aqua requested Pekora hand Moona over to her and Pekora seeing this made Moona demonstrate her loyalty to Usada Kensetsu by destroying Aqua's warning sign and left one saying she's now Pekora's employee. At first Moona left a rather blunt goodbye to Aqua but Pekora made her change it to be nicer. After reading that Aqua realised she had lost Moona because she didn't treat her employees well enough and vowed from now on to lead a company that valued its members. It's really gripping stuff.

This lead to him asking chat about it and he ended up watching a section of the scene. The best part of his reaction to the scene was when chat pointed out something to him. *THAT'S HIS SISTER!*
Let me just add that while payment was stated as one of the reasons why Moona preferred Usada Constructions, the main reason was probably the fact that Moona didn't really get anything to do at Akukin Constructions. When she joined, she tried to help build the Aquamarinego ship that Aqua was building with Marine. However, Aqua and Marine were building it according to some blueprints they got from a fan and it was a really complicated construction and due to the language barrier they weren't able to communicate any actual instructions to Moona. Moona tried to improvise and build anyway but she soon realized that it's probably not helping and she felt she's kind of in their way and left. After finishing the ship, Akukin Constructions wasn't really active. Some few days later, Pekora started a very simple conversation with Moona when Pekora was trying to get some items and happened to run into Moona in the game. She told Moona, 'rapisu razuri give me' (give me lapis lazuli). That's how their interaction started and Moona decided to tag along and helped Pekora build what Pekora had been planning to make. Since Pekora plays Minecraft frequently and builds a lot of stuff, Moona had a lot of opportunities to join and build together, something she hadn't really been able to in the Minecraft server until then. She would just play alone without interacting much with others, partially due to the language barrier, partially due to her shyness. By joining Pekora, she found a partner to play with, and even though it's difficult for them to communicate together because Moona can't really speak Japanese much and Pekora doesn't speak much English, they were able to build a lot of stuff together and probably both had a lot of fun doing it. Pekora's English has also significantly improved over the month or so that she played with Moona a lot.

That clip where Noel is using a voice changer and is in costume is her parodying "Matsuko Deluxe", a TV talento who is basically a hilarious big fat loud crossdressing guy who is on a lot of variety shows in Japan. That's his hairstyle and the kind of dress he wears a lot, and the katakana under her says "Noel Deluxe".

To correct the The Only Fan when he said Aqua and Moona were the only senpai’s there. No. Sora was also there too. Moona. Gura. And Ame found her spying on them to see how they were doing and they had a short but cute greetings with each other.
Things that should have been covered: 1) Her other nickname is Baqua (Baka + Aqua) because she tends to act like an airhead. She's mostly called Onion because she tried her best not to show her Baqua side. 2) While she was playing Super Smash Bros with her fans on stream, one of the top Smash Bros players in Japan gave her a large superchat to challenge her. He was too good at the game and she kept on trying to beat him, which made her fans angry at her for not getting the chance to play with her. She ended up making an apology video afterwards (she cried at the end) and took a few days off. 3) Other than Apex, she's also very good at League of Legends. 4) In Among Us, as a crewmate, she was very observant and good at identifying imposters by their actions in the game and during meetings. In her first Among Us collab, she had the second highest kill count (Pekora being the first). 5) She recently called herself AkukinTV, which is an April Fools joke to HikakinTV. She also created the Akukin Construction in Minecraft. 6) Off stream, she's a shy introvert and has to rely on Shion to order Korean seaweed for her. 7) She sang the Nissin Curry Meshi song along with Pekora and Subaru.

Aqua is really great, one of the best hololive gamers and enterntainers. She's that glue that sticks many of the hololive members together. And her character development over time from always shy timid girl to quite popular and confident onion is nothing short of amazing.

Also why they don't have a huge collection of games to play now since companies like fromsoft and capcom won't give them permission to play the games now so aqua can't play dark souls etc

I just love her personality, she’s already incredibly cute but her natural ditziness just makes her amazing. She’s either a god tier actress or Hololive got really lucky in picking out this lovable goofball.
Fun fact: Aqua in Azur Lane is a submarine whilst most of the other girls that were available in that hololive event were mostly battleships or destroyers. It's also funny because Aqua is one of the more useful and good submarines you can get in the game.
@@gerrygunawan4130 yup, she's pretty good in PVE you can't use subs in PVP. She can be even better if you put extra gear on her. That doesn't say much tho. There aren't a huge selection of submarines out there in that game. Most are event exclusive like how aqua was.
i never like submarine in azur lane because that time. its absolutely useless but when subs became a staple in azur lane events The only useful sub i got is aqua xD i wanna play AL again hahaahaa

Has anyone shown Naggz the Hololive Resistance arc? Aqua rebels against Hololive and constructs a secret base. This rebellion is quickly crushed by Tokino Sora. This same arc was used during the azur lane crossover as Aqua and Sora were both ship girls in that game.
In fairness Aqua blowing herself up in reaction to Moona and Pekora was actually an attempted declaration of peace rather than an expression of distress.

Things not featured about Aqua 1: Super Shy Introvert: She has some serious anxiety (Almost akin to Pekoras) She can't even order food herself on a resturants.... 2: Baqua She has the super famous 1 point on Choco-sensei's Quiz Exam, one of the lowest points in Hololive's Answers. Earning her the 1 point, or Baqua. 3: The Neighbour War Arc between Shion/Aqua If you thought 2 grumpy men was a good story, oh boy. 4: She recently was able to Collab with the full 2nd Gen which she is part of...after 2 years. Huge change from her usual super introvert that she is trying to change slowly. 5: Gaming Achievements all over the place, also one of the best speedrunners in Hololive. 6: Aqua's ingenuity on Traps(Or setup traps) She has one of the rules that "NO FIGHTING" but traps are okay....and one of the most known successful tricksters of Hololive. 7: The Abadango Incident Really stupid, others have already spoken about it. 8: The Coco/Aqua Raft Episode (Post-Abandango Incident) This episode was so emotional and in depth that the FULL episode got translated, some heavy words from Coco's wisdom as a streamer to help out a downtrodden Aqua(She was to the point of depression, I personally think) 9: One of the worst/best thing that happened to Aqua One of the worst actors of the HL, an example is when she had a totsumachi(A call in Episode) where others would phone in on Discord and talk to her (Think it was around her 2nd Year Debut Anni) and hardly anyone came in, until finally 2 who cared decided to be nice and talk to her...only to be backstabbed (Think it was Miko/Towa/Okayu...Total). She even tried to fake her tears WHILE she was setting up an explosive trap that killed off Miko(Who was on Sick leave during that time). Let's just say, no matter what, never turn your back to this onion. Just a few....of this year/Later 2019.
The reason why Shubangelion, the huge statue of duck in Minecraft, holds Pekora's and Miko's heads is because they pranked her statue when it wasn't finished yet. When the legs and torso were done, Miko put a simple Miko head on top of it over night, similar to the one that the statue holds now. Pekora then added to it later by making the Miko head spew water. When Subaru found out, she removed the Miko head and build the current heads being hold in the statue's hands. So, Miko and Pekora got what they deserved lol

One thing that didn't feature here is that Aqua is REALLY shy. She handles the chat and streams well, but even with other girls she can feel awkward sometimes. Just wanted to correct the Moona story. Moona was recruited by Aqua and Marine first for Aqua's Akukin Kensetsu (Akukin Construction company). Pekora abused Moona and forced Moona to give her items. Over time Pekora hassled Moona more and more and they eventually became very good friends, and then Moona quit Akukin Kensetsu for Pekora's Usada Kensetsu
Exactly, it wasn't a love battle. Moona wanted to be helpful to her senpai and helped with building the AquaMarineGo, and Moona was the "CEO" of Akukin Kensetsu....but Pekora just comes and extort the shit out of her kohai and bam! they started building stuff together. the project was hazardous and death is high on the chart. the pay? Pekora PAYS in CARROTS!
I think the clip selection this time has been pretty poor and doesn't really do Aqua justice. The fact that there isn't a single Neighbour War clip breaks my heart
I've thought that about most of the reviews of the girls. Nothingbuta_fan doesn't seem to know about a lot of their most famous clips or they're just not shown in the edit.
The absolute first clip i seen of aqua was when she was playing apex and a kind gent gave her his level 3 armour.. she was really really grateful for it and it just grabbed my heart. Here i am
I'd argue that what made Aqua popular was the original neighbour war. Still, a great video :D Btw. I think the Baqua meme actually results in people not realising Aqua is one hell of a gamer. I remember someone on Reddit posting a list of all Aqua's gaming achievements and it was quite an impressive collection. Although I totally agree with the "duality of Aqua" xD
22:22 the reason their heads were there was because before Shubagelion was finished, Pekora and Miko kept messing with its construction, so Subaru took revenge. But both Pekora and Miko ended up loving the severed heads thing, so it kinda backfired for Subaru.
One random Aqua stream that stands out for me is Jump King. I watch clips and all, but that was a stream I just tuned in and kept playing while I did something else. It was very good for annoyed onion noises.
I got into Hololive I thinks a week or two after EN debuted. Since then I’ve just been exploring around, see what I like or don’t like. After all of that time I would say Aqua is pretty much my favorite, with Subaru and Botan tied at second. I don’t speak a lick of Japanese however when I see Aqua is live I almost always hop in for at least a few minutes. And so far she’s the only girl who I have actually watched vods/streams of.

Since neither of them know much about Aqua and even Fan has been involved with Hololive for only a couple of months, they probably don't know of the neighbour war events. Myself, I think I started to watch Aqua only like 2 months ago. But I agree - I think the neighbour war was what made Aqua truly popular :D Wasn't she the second most subscribed Hololive member earlier this year - right behind Fubuki?
That's exactly why I'm sad because that Arc shows what Aqua truly is, a cunning, playful, and baka girl at the same time. And yes earlier this year Aqua was the second most subscribed Hologirl and recently other girls have surpassed her.
It takes a long time to watch the whole saga though.

Some info:
- Minato Aqua theme is maid sailor. The sailor theme is based on her name minato = 'harbor' and aqua = 'water'
- Aqua is called Baqua which is combination of Baka + Aqua. This is mainly because how she plays, but proven that she is indeed baka in choco-sensei test. Just search 'aqua choco test'. Lets just say she is one of the reason why the average score of hololive girl is low.
- Moona was hired by Akukin kensetsu (Aqua construction company), but she was not get paid, and she was recruited by Pekora into Usada kensetsu (Usada construction company), by paying her in carrots.
(The actress behind) Aqua seems to be playing up her bad luck a bit, in the name of creating content. At least that's the impression I got, while watching the Neighbor War series iirc.
Addition: aqua is a pro gamer. I forgot the list of all her achievements. like apex and LoL. And the first beacon on the hololive server was indeed her.
And of all of them she's the fastest to finish the game "getting over it" i think its the name of that game.
She has her Baqua moments, but this is also the same Aqua that (in addition to the above) is also really good in Among Us and speed runs Sekiro.
When Aqua decides to take a game seriously, she REALLY takes it seriously.

Also for more on the Akukin Kensetsu vs Usada Kensetsu I believe the story is that Moona was initially recruited by Aqua and Marine but Moona was shortly after hired by Usada Kensetsu and while there she received payments for her work, something she never got from Aqua and so jumped ship and became a full time member of Usada Kensetsu. During the dispute Aqua requested Pekora hand Moona over to her and Pekora seeing this made Moona demonstrate her loyalty to Usada Kensetsu by destroying Aqua's warning sign and left one saying she's now Pekora's employee. At first Moona left a rather blunt goodbye to Aqua but Pekora made her change it to be nicer. After reading that Aqua realised she had lost Moona because she didn't treat her employees well enough and vowed from now on to lead a company that valued its members.
It's really gripping stuff.

A thing to note, when Aqua completed AquaMarine GO, she had to go to Tokyo for some work and that's the week when Moona joined Usada kensetsu
Let me just add that while payment was stated as one of the reasons why Moona preferred Usada Constructions, the main reason was probably the fact that Moona didn't really get anything to do at Akukin Constructions. When she joined, she tried to help build the Aquamarinego ship that Aqua was building with Marine. However, Aqua and Marine were building it according to some blueprints they got from a fan and it was a really complicated construction and due to the language barrier they weren't able to communicate any actual instructions to Moona. Moona tried to improvise and build anyway but she soon realized that it's probably not helping and she felt she's kind of in their way and left. After finishing the ship, Akukin Constructions wasn't really active. Some few days later, Pekora started a very simple conversation with Moona when Pekora was trying to get some items and happened to run into Moona in the game. She told Moona, 'rapisu razuri give me' (give me lapis lazuli). That's how their interaction started and Moona decided to tag along and helped Pekora build what Pekora had been planning to make. Since Pekora plays Minecraft frequently and builds a lot of stuff, Moona had a lot of opportunities to join and build together, something she hadn't really been able to in the Minecraft server until then. She would just play alone without interacting much with others, partially due to the language barrier, partially due to her shyness. By joining Pekora, she found a partner to play with, and even though it's difficult for them to communicate together because Moona can't really speak Japanese much and Pekora doesn't speak much English, they were able to build a lot of stuff together and probably both had a lot of fun doing it. Pekora's English has also significantly improved over the month or so that she played with Moona a lot.

To correct the The Only Fan when he said Aqua and Moona were the only senpai’s there. No. Sora was also there too. Moona. Gura. And Ame found her spying on them to see how they were doing and they had a short but cute greetings with each other.
Things that should have been covered:
1) Her other nickname is Baqua (Baka + Aqua) because she tends to act like an airhead. She's mostly called Onion because she tried her best not to show her Baqua side.
2) While she was playing Super Smash Bros with her fans on stream, one of the top Smash Bros players in Japan gave her a large superchat to challenge her. He was too good at the game and she kept on trying to beat him, which made her fans angry at her for not getting the chance to play with her. She ended up making an apology video afterwards (she cried at the end) and took a few days off.
3) Other than Apex, she's also very good at League of Legends.
4) In Among Us, as a crewmate, she was very observant and good at identifying imposters by their actions in the game and during meetings. In her first Among Us collab, she had the second highest kill count (Pekora being the first).

She even tried to fake her tears WHILE she was setting up an explosive trap that killed off Miko(Who was on Sick leave during that time). Let's just say, no matter what, never turn your back to this onion.

The reason why Shubangelion, the huge statue of duck in Minecraft, holds Pekora's and Miko's heads is because they pranked her statue when it wasn't finished yet. When the legs and torso were done, Miko put a simple Miko head on top of it over night, similar to the one that the statue holds now. Pekora then added to it later by making the Miko head spew water. When Subaru found out, she removed the Miko head and build the current heads being hold in the statue's hands. So, Miko and Pekora got what they deserved lol

Gura mentioned during one of her early streams that Aqua was actually the one to drag her down the VTuber rabbit hole and she is her favorite Senpai. Just wanted to correct the Moona story. Moona was recruited by Aqua and Marine first for Aqua's Akukin Kensetsu (Akukin Construction company). Pekora abused Moona and forced Moona to give her items. Over time Pekora hassled Moona more and more and they eventually became very good friends, and then Moona quit Akukin Kensetsu for Pekora's Usada Kensetsu
Exactly, it wasn't a love battle. Moona wanted to be helpful to her senpai and helped with building the AquaMarineGo, and Moona was the "CEO" of Akukin Kensetsu....but Pekora just comes and extort the shit out of her kohai and bam! they started building stuff together. the project was hazardous and death is high on the chart. the pay? Pekora PAYS in CARROTS!

I think the clip selection this time has been pretty poor and doesn't really do Aqua justice. The fact that there isn't a single Neighbour War clip breaks my heart
I've thought that about most of the reviews of the girls. Nothingbuta_fan doesn't seem to know about a lot of their most famous clips or they're just not shown in the edit.

Btw. I think the Baqua meme actually results in people not realising Aqua is one hell of a gamer. I remember someone on Reddit posting a list of all Aqua's gaming achievements and it was quite an impressive collection. Although I totally agree with the "duality of Aqua" xD

One random Aqua stream that stands out for me is Jump King. I watch clips and all, but that was a stream I just tuned in and kept playing while I did something else. It was very good for annoyed onion noises.
I got into Hololive I thinks a week or two after EN debuted. Since then I’ve just been exploring around, see what I like or don’t like.
After all of that time I would say Aqua is pretty much my favorite, with Subaru and Botan tied at second.
I don’t speak a lick of Japanese however when I see Aqua is live I almost always hop in for at least a few minutes. And so far she’s the only girl who I have actually watched vods/streams of.
